Title: jonny texas Post by: vinni on May 16, 2006, 05:12:53 PM yesterday i played the jonny texas tv game .
thought it was a terific structure . it was a well organised game i know it cost a few quid to enter but it was well worth it . we was well looked after food drink ,a lot better tourny than the 888.com tourny . 3/4 hour structure with 10k starting chips ,if you get a chance to play the next one i would recomend it. Title: Re: jonny texas Post by: vinni on May 16, 2006, 05:15:32 PM sorry cant tell you any results but we sighned a contract.
Title: Re: jonny texas Post by: tikay on May 16, 2006, 05:17:35 PM Yes, a lovely structure, & we were very well looked after by all.
As Vinni says, even if you know any results, please don't Post them - that was the deal. Title: Re: jonny texas Post by: GlasgowBandit on May 16, 2006, 06:03:33 PM So who won? :D
Title: Re: jonny texas Post by: vinni on May 16, 2006, 06:11:53 PM well ned kelly won the first game ,

I've just got back from the wrap party for this event. Excellent fun. We finally finshed up around midday! 8) Myself (Matt Dale) and Dan Carter, and our internet qualifier (Benedetto Passantino) played this event. I agree with the post about the excellent structure, and the great hospitality. Craig's structure and tournament direction was top notch. I hope we get invited back for the next event :) Title: Re: jonny texas Post by: vinni on May 17, 2006, 06:00:20 PM here here

I dont know anything whatsoever about this tournament, apart from the name, and it would be great if there was some information about it.. ie Tourney structure/players/buyin/payout etc Maybe there is, and I have failed to notice it, if however, all this is being with-held before it goes on TV, that is respected thanks in advance Title: Re: jonny texas Post by: Royal Flush on May 19, 2006, 05:39:41 AM is there any available info regarding this, aside from the results? I am afraid thats about all i know. From what i have head though we want more of the same. Title: Re: jonny texas Post by: tikay on May 19, 2006, 11:34:44 AM 10,000 starting chips, & 45 minute clock. Some innovative filming techniques were used, never before seen on Poker shows, but it would be wrong to reveal them, you must wait for the show. Who played? I don't have the names to hand. My heat included Jon Shoreman, Micky Wernick, Howard Plant, & Simon Aces Trumper. Jim Reid played, Vinni, Matt Dale, but I really don't know who else. Title: Re: jonny texas Post by: totalise on May 19, 2006, 12:07:12 PM thanks tony... should make for excellent viewing
Pushing my luck, do you (or anyone) happen to know who the commentators were/are? Title: Re: jonny texas Post by: tikay on May 19, 2006, 12:11:25 PM thanks tony... should make for excellent viewing Pushing my luck, do you (or anyone) happen to know who the commentators were/are? No, I don't. The commentary has yet to be added, that will be done in the editing suite shortly, I imagine. "I Know It" may be able to assist, he is involved with the organisation. It's a bit awkward, we were all asked not to give away anything, but that was largely results-wise. appreciated... maybe if I Know It feels its acceptable for the public to know, he will post in here at some stage, if not, it doesn't matter anyways, we will find out when it airs! thanks again Title: Re: jonny texas Post by: tikay on May 19, 2006, 12:17:26 PM He will, I'm quite sure.
