Title: Celtic Post by: doubleup on July 28, 2005, 07:31:58 PM I want to make it clear that I have never supported this team. In fact I don't come from Glasgow and am not even Scottish - I made that up to annoy Tikay

However playing 3-4-3 at home with 60000 behind them doesn't mean it's impossible. Must drop Camara though as we don't want a fine from the ASA for calling him a footballer though. Sandy Title: Re: Celtic Post by: RFC on July 29, 2005, 08:26:39 PM If only we could score from 6 feet out with an open goal. In a happier note: RFC / jbsc7769 - Do you like my little Avatar, its just for you - God Bless you x RFC - I must say, i really do love your double standards, your a witty guy mate. Title: Re: Celtic Post by: jbsc7769 on August 01, 2005, 10:29:12 AM Dave, I love your avatar. In fact, to be honest the only thing that could have made it better would be John Barnes instead of Gordon Strachan holding that rag in the air. Although to be fair, it is a very close call.
Title: Re: Celtic Post by: MonkeyDonkey on August 01, 2005, 12:15:57 PM Personally speaking, as a lifelong celtic fan who managed to get to Seville (bah!), I think the last two results have been a disgrace. I was against the appointment of Strachan from the off but was hoping that I'd be wrong and he'd turn out ok.
Then, in the space of 90 minutes he managed to destroy any credibility Celtic had gained in Europe under O'Neill and turn in one of the most inept openings to a season I'd seen in some time. Even Barnes managed to look convincing for a few games at the start. I truly fear the worst for this season. If i could just find J2offsuit..... Precisely monkey bhoy, i just cant seem to get over the lack of investment, from the board after Seville, its all coming back to Haunt them....or should i say us! You were in a great position after the Eurpean run and money should have been invested to take you to the next level. Obvoulsy I am pleased it wasn't as I think we may have had trouble catching up for a few years. O'Neil going was great news for me and was amazed Strachan was appointed. He was a failureat Coventry so way should he make a success at CarParkHead?
Optimistic about the coming year, fingers crossed Lovenkrands stays though. Title: Re: Celtic Post by: Scottish Dave on August 03, 2005, 08:53:13 AM I have to agree with you. Title: Re: Celtic Post by: Ironside on October 27, 2005, 03:18:11 AM celtic won tonight and ranger only managed a draw but both teams are trailing hearts who are managerless after they sacked the only manager that has given them a chance of winning silverware in last 5000 years

O N T H E J A M B O S ! ! ! Title: Re: Celtic Post by: mikkyT on October 27, 2005, 07:43:00 PM I always said, when I first moved to Scotland. The first team to split the old firm is going to be my adopted Scottish team. I've assumed this is going to be Hearts this season.... but having said that, the way things are going it might be Hibs! ;)
Title: Re: Celtic Post by: jbsc7769 on October 27, 2005, 07:50:08 PM I will still be suprised if Hearts win it although there are some pretty big names being lined up to take over from Burley. *IF* it is one of the big names, that could get some extra quality up up there but time will tell. Its actually quite funny reading this, remebering how optimistic I was. I text my mate last night and said it is a sad state of affairs that our season is over in October, lol. Our aim is second and that is highly unlikely. Our best chance or playing champios league football nest year is winning it. Oh dear. In some ways i think it may be a blessing in disguise if we do gou out of Europe quickly. Sub standard performances the week before Europe are killing us. Hibs, Falkirk etc. Pish.
Title: Re: Celtic Post by: mikkyT on October 27, 2005, 08:30:12 PM Sub standard performance, sub standard team, sub standard league. I spot a trend ;)
Title: Re: Celtic Post by: RFC on October 28, 2005, 04:56:41 PM not happy :tikay:
enough said and think i'll go and do this :pop: Title: Re: Celtic Post by: Ironside on October 28, 2005, 05:35:19 PM wow you must have a huge mirowave at home kiv and red dog could both get there dinner in that one at the same time

Still i was optimistic at the time even though i didn't have much faith in Camara. Sandy Title: Re: Celtic Post by: Cybertim on October 30, 2005, 01:02:32 AM I have a few spare tickets for the Rangers end of season dance.. Its tomorrow night :D

The sooner Abramavich goes and Chelsea return to mediorceness, the better
Title: Re: Celtic Post by: Teacake on October 31, 2005, 08:01:12 PM Your right Mikky, the top 3 in Scotland are playing some good stuff at the minute. Rangers could get back into it if they get a manager with half a clue.
I'm so glad I got rid of my Sky Sports subscription, the EPL is over hyped beyond belief. Chelsea are different class, Man U & Arsenal are a joke this season & Newcastle must be the biggest under achievers in Europe. The rest are mediocre at best with Spurs being the possible exception, they are long overdue but you get the feeling it may be another false dawn. Title: Re: Celtic Post by: RFC on October 31, 2005, 08:09:35 PM Chelsea are different class, Man U & Arsenal are a joke this season & Newcastle must be the biggest under achievers in Europe. Nobody is impressing. And I refuse to believe the standard of every other team in the league went up since last season, so it must be the standard of the Man Us and the ARSEnals going down.
