The worst I have ever experienced is Tiscali broadband, although o2 and carphone warehouse are useless as well.

They always say we will contact you within x hours, and its always between now and when they close for the night so that when they haven't contacted you, you call back and can't get through until the next day.

let me guess..................BULLDOG?

Although my bulldog service has been poor, the CS has been excellent for me, i have always been helped and by a native English speaker!!

It was amusing though when i was calling up and the woman was trying to get my details up but she was disconnected from the server, i couldnt help but ask "are you on bulldog aswell" she laughed :D

Although my bulldog service has been poor, the CS has been excellent for me, i have always been helped and by a native English speaker!!

It was amusing though when i was calling up and the woman was trying to get my details up but she was disconnected from the server, i couldnt help but ask "are you on bulldog aswell" she laughed :D

LOL, my experiance with them is completly opposite.

When i initially signed up with them and paid an amount upfron to retain there services i was'nt connected for another 7 weeks.

everytime i contacted them to find out what was going on it was always a bad connection or i spoke to someone that i couldnt understand.

They also always got in first, as though to pre-empt and deflect a question that would require them engaging in some investigative work:
"my computer is down today sir and i cant access your file, but how can i help you?
AAAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!

When they finaly connected me i found out that all the departments that i needed to contact would only converse with me via e-mail.

but the connection has been impeccable, the best ive ever expierienced, fast and reliable

I just try to have as little to do with their administration department as possible!!

Yeah my 8meg connection is an unstable 2 meg connection!!! grrr.

I am at gingers house at the moment and she is on bulldog and she is getting a super stable connection and its more, yes MORE than 8 meg!

sounds like a bill decrease to me!, get on their case(better use someone elses computer to contact them though) :D

yeah well i have an open complaint so untill its sorted i am not paying!

It was Egg for my visa card. Pain in the backside. But......

It was a young asian lassie i was speaking to and I swear to God i was being real patient, even when neither of us could understand a single word the other was saying. Being real polite cause it aint her fault some faceless corporation has outsourced the work, no point blaming her. She then says, I'll put one of my colleagues on to speak to you, i'm thinking, aye like anyone else is likely to understand me. A young lassie comes on with an English accent, i'm thinking this is my lucky day, i'll finally be able to get them to understand me. No such luck........... she was a scouser!! Didnt understand 'aye', 'whit', 'wee', 'no real', 'numpty' or 'u and the rest of them doon there are a bunch of eejits. Away and bile ur heid'

True story!!!

And i feel a little bit better now.

I can appreciate that some scots are hard to understand but I was at least making an effort. I was in Newcastle the other weekend and they sure as hell dont speak English!

Good point. Does anyone understand a word they say?

I used to share a house with three geordies. They were all fairly easy to understand when you trapped them individually but once they were in a room together and the newky brown was free flowing they spoke an entirely different language chirping stuff about "gannin inta toon" and all sorts.

 I used Sid The Sexist from Viz as a phrase book for the more difficult words.

I once phoned up Lastminute.com's customer services dept in the
sub-continent after some pretty lousy service.

I was not in a very good mood but it got worse when the nice lady there asked me if I understood English!!!

I almost blew a gasket!!!

when call centres phone me up trying to sell me something, sometimes i just have fun with them...i've got people talking very slowly in loud voices before....its soooo funny to listen to.....guess i shouldnt really  :D

I work in a call centre for BT doing Technical support for BT broadband talk (VOIP)

The entire bulldog broadband support is in the same building as me too, the 8meg* connections are generally upto 8 meg connections dependant on what your exchange can handle.
