Title: Re: PNL with Johnny Chan Post by: Acidmouse on May 28, 2006, 12:38:31 AM He seems hard work. Still it was fun to watch.
Title: Re: PNL with Johnny Chan Post by: byronkincaid on May 28, 2006, 12:40:28 AM errrr what's your defininition of "exclusive"?

Title: Re: PNL with Johnny Chan Post by: tikay on May 28, 2006, 12:50:50 AM I have removed the Link, as we prefer not to "Link" to other UK Poker Forums.
But I am happy to advise that the Link was to The Hendon Mob Forum, where the thread can be read. Title: Re: PNL with Johnny Chan Post by: GlasgowBandit on May 28, 2006, 12:53:07 AM Anyone else think he looked high??? ;goodvevil;
Title: Re: PNL with Johnny Chan Post by: tikay on May 28, 2006, 12:53:50 AM errrr what's your defininition of "exclusive"? (Link removed by tikay). wonder how long that link'll last for :D In this case, by "exclusive", I mean that I interviewed Johnny for Poker 425 on Friday lunchtime at The Sportsman. He gave heaps of interviews to heaps of people. I am sure all of them were exclusive. We had our half-hour one to one slot, & we "did him"! Exclusively......... Title: Re: PNL with Johnny Chan Post by: tikay on May 28, 2006, 12:55:07 AM Anyone else think he looked high??? ;goodvevil; He seemed "normal" to me. I dare not suggest otherwise - he had some seriously big "minders" with him! But no, I thought he seemed OK. Title: Re: PNL with Johnny Chan Post by: byronkincaid on May 28, 2006, 12:56:36 AM So I am exclusively reading this forum now?
Title: Re: PNL with Johnny Chan Post by: GlasgowBandit on May 28, 2006, 12:56:57 AM How did the interview go TK??
I assume he was talking up his new book, what do you all reckon of the concept of this? Title: Re: PNL with Johnny Chan Post by: tikay on May 28, 2006, 12:57:04 AM He seems hard work. Still it was fun to watch. I was forewarned that he would be "hard work", but on the contrary, he was just fine. He seemed more at ease when we did a run through of the questions off camera, but that's natural enough. Title: Re: PNL with Johnny Chan Post by: tikay on May 28, 2006, 12:59:20 AM How did the interview go TK?? I assume he was talking up his new book, what do you all reckon of the concept of this? No, he never mentioned his new book, & I never knew he had one out. He is here to promote "The Johnny Chan Invitational", a Tourney in the Caribbean in September. "Turks & Caicos" (?) is the location, I think. Title: Re: PNL with Johnny Chan Post by: tikay on May 28, 2006, 01:00:25 AM How did the interview go TK?? I assume he was talking up his new book, what do you all reckon of the concept of this? How did it go? Hard for me to say. Watch the interview is all I can suggest! Seemed OK though. The concept of the enw book from what I gather is that he has went through just about every starting hand and position in poker and determined the % each and every hand has of winning. I'd suggest it took a helluva lot of time and effort to do that. Title: Re: PNL with Johnny Chan Post by: tikay on May 28, 2006, 01:05:27 AM So I am exclusively reading this forum now? No, because the content is shared. And if you watch the Interview, you won't be watching it exclusively. But you will (would?) be watching an exclusive interview. He doubtless gave numerous exclusive interviews! All different. All exclusive, probably. Title: Re: PNL with Johnny Chan Post by: tikay on May 28, 2006, 01:07:09 AM How did the interview go TK?? I'd suggest it took a helluva lot of time and effort to do that. That's an oddity, because I specifically asked him about his "hand play" & the answer he gave was "not consistent" with that! Title: Re: PNL with Johnny Chan Post by: Bongo on May 28, 2006, 01:33:35 AM I imagine someone else has made the book and just whacked his name on it (after an appropriate payment of course).
Title: Re: PNL with Johnny Chan Post by: Rupert on May 28, 2006, 03:02:02 AM http://www.thegameinternational.com for details about the tournament
I have been watching developments of this since it was first announced cos my dad really wants to go to this island in particular (he was once offered an offshore bank account there in the 80s, must be a mid-life thing :D) Title: Re: PNL with Johnny Chan Post by: londonpokergirl on May 28, 2006, 07:39:21 PM Yeah he had a fantastic shirt on whilst playing at the Western yesterday,but
I think after all his interviews and jet lag he was knackered Bob at the western got a fantastic pic of him asleep at the poker table :) and then about 20mins later he was out of tournie. Was quite funny, everybody there got a free orange It was faces and more faces playing in the tournie, 15k chips 1 hour blinds, think they'll still be there on tuesday :) and met b4matt what a sweetie |
