Title: Badbeat Blues Post by: Foggy on August 01, 2005, 04:44:14 PM I have a situation at the moment that when I call,I am outdrawn! When I fold, the cards that appear would give me a winning hand. This has now been ongoing for tha past 6 weeks day in day out!
Is this a record? Any others had the same blues or am I unique? Title: Re: Badbeat Blues Post by: SQ on August 01, 2005, 05:18:39 PM Everyone goes through good and bad patches, but 6 weeks does seem a long unlucky streak. As a novice, when I go through a bad patch I review my hand histories, and confirm that I am playing correctly. In my case it is more often than not my bad play that is causing the bad luck. I will then take a break, drop a level or 2, and go back to a tight honest game until normal luck is restored.

4-5 hands later I get QQ and the flop comes JQJ. Happy days! I was smiling even more so when I got paid by the guy from the previous hand. If only what goes around came back around so quickly all the time :) |
