Title: Artpoker
Post by: SimonH on June 01, 2006, 08:54:37 AM

Has anyone (Nemesis springs to mind) tried (or even heard of) Artpoker?

You can download skins to jazz up the poker tables on most major cardrooms.

Saw it in a magazine and a rather fetching stars table done up like the Union Jack caught my eye.

I'm a bit paranoid to download any external products that will alter the software.

Is it safe?

I've heard of them and, as far as I know its safe (its actually quite easy to do these mods to some of the sites yourself).

The only problem I have with them is that they are doing the exact opposite with the mods to what I want them to do.  Plain, simple, easy on the eye mods are what's needed for multi-tabling rather than a load of gimmicky pictures.

Each to their own though.

ive used one from a different site - went back to the normal one though

have you all tried out testpokerstars.com

its a pokerstars website with resizeable tables and completely modded tables backgrounds etc

unfortunately it is only play money but it shows how good the new pokerstars software will be

Ive got it on my machine....good for a giggle for a few mins but I end up with the usual after a bit cos there easer to play.

If you fancy playing stars with the US Army Iraqi playing cards for a bit then give it a go!

They make money through affiliate schemes .... if you try and use a card set for a site not on your machine it allows you to download through their affiliate scheme.

If you like that sort of stuff give it a go......seems harmless to me!

I use ArtPoker on full tilt as i dont like their cartoon backgrounds, instead I have the one of Chris Ferguson and some chip stacks. The site just does what it says on the tin.
