Title: Simon poker Day Post by: Padraig P on June 14, 2006, 08:24:22 AM On behalf of those involved in organising the poker for the homeless event wed like to thank all those whove helped to make our recent fundraising efforts a success
The tournament itself raised 20200(202 x 100) and pokerevents very generously gave us back 10 euros out of each 30 euro registration charge collected which brought the total to 22220. By the way, to those of you who were not aware, Padraig played the Paris WPT, & on a flop of A-J-T, passed his pocket Aces in a 3 way pot. BOTH other players had KQ.......Now THATS a good pass! If you absolutely knew that they both had the straight it isnt a bad spot to gamble that you house up - assuming you are at a stage in the tourny where that suits your ends. But as soon as you include some possibility that only one of the opponents has a straight and the other has an underset blocking your progress, it becomes a very sticky spot and a very good pass.
