i am just clearing out an old bt365 account. - i have no money elsewhere. - maybe i should take it a bit more seriously?! Title: Re: Today's daily treble 16/6 Post by: TightEnd on June 16, 2006, 11:32:02 AM Wow Ivory Coast to beat the Dutch? What's the thinking behind that or is it a "value" bet? Good luck anyway!
I think Argentina, Holland and Mexico is nailed on, but not at great odds I'm sure Title: Re: Today's daily treble 16/6 Post by: Karabiner on June 16, 2006, 11:38:31 AM Wow Ivory Coast to beat the Dutch? What's the thinking behind that or is it a "value" bet? Good luck anyway! I think Argentina, Holland and Mexico is nailed on, but not at great odds I'm sure I think I'm being a bit stubborn here, having backed Ivory Coast to win the group. But they did play very well against Argentina and have to play for a win today. The favs. treble of Argy/Holl./Mex. is paying 4.2 (3.2/1) on BF presently with over £5k available for those who feel that it is "nailed on". ;) Title: Re: Today's daily treble 16/6 Post by: Scottish Dave on June 16, 2006, 11:52:39 AM i can see i little upset today guys, so ive gone for:
Argy - Draw - Mexico @ 7.4 and Argy - Ivory - Mexico @ 10.5 Title: Re: Today's daily treble 16/6 Post by: The Baron on June 16, 2006, 12:46:33 PM I've gone with Argentina/Ivory Coast/Mexico at a whopping 10/1. I'm with this. Irovy Coast are an underrated side nd Holland only looked OK in their first game. Title: Re: Today's daily treble 16/6 Post by: Dewi_cool on June 16, 2006, 12:56:43 PM I'm going with Argentina, the team I support this is because they have welsh speakers in Patagonia, with Holland coz Van the man plays for them, and Mechiko, because I like the way you say it football has nothing to do with the World cup

Title: Re: Today's daily treble 16/6 Post by: Colchester Kev on June 16, 2006, 02:49:12 PM must say that the argies look a bit special .... undoubtedly the best first half display so far.
Title: Re: Today's daily treble 16/6 Post by: The Baron on June 16, 2006, 02:50:51 PM How good was that?
I take it back. England aint winning sh*t. Title: Re: Today's daily treble 16/6 Post by: jammer on June 16, 2006, 03:48:07 PM Ivory coast are extremely underated.
Just look at the result today - how good did argentina look. Ivory coast on the other hand, even though they lost by the one goal, had the argies on the back foot for a good part of the match. If the odds are good enough, I'm gonna take a punt on them to shock holland. Title: Re: Today's daily treble 16/6 Post by: Dewi_cool on June 16, 2006, 04:10:10 PM How good was that? I take it back. England aint winning sh*t. you now see Aaron, what we have seen all along, the biggest problem England have is the manager and his lack of any technical awareness, you also need a captain on the park who can run things when the game is on, Beckham has no idea, give the job to Gerrard he's the only one with the passion and the technical ability. If you dont change it you might as well come home, take a few risks and play an open attacking game, which suits the players and the english game -good luck. Title: Re: Today's daily treble 16/6 Post by: Royal Flush on June 16, 2006, 04:34:36 PM I believe Gerrard should be the captain aswell, Beckham has great workrate and always gives 100%, Gerrard though has that prescence, he would be my captain.
I don't think Sven is lacking in anything, he cant have got to where he is now without being top class. Anyone who has managed a Serie A club has great tactical awareness. Title: Re: Today's daily treble 16/6 Post by: Dewi_cool on June 16, 2006, 04:42:22 PM Point taken, he needs to change his strategy then, coz the one he's using now aint working,

Agreed with the first point. I wouldn't mind John Terry either. I know several Serie A managers who have been tactically inept. Ok so Sven won the league with Lazio. Dalglish won our league with Blackburn under similar circumstances (a shitload of money), doesn't mean he's tactically aware though. Keegan almost won it with Newcastle and was England manager, the guy still doesn't know what the word defence means! Ok i should rephrase that, TOP Serie A manager, to say he won it through money alone is silly, when he won it the top 4 teams in Europe all played in that league. Title: Re: Today's daily treble 16/6 Post by: The Baron on June 16, 2006, 06:30:23 PM True.
His tactics are one dimensional though. (For England at least) I'd prefer a O'Niell/Scolari/Hiddink type manager who always gets the best out of what are sometimes average teams. Dont be so silly - the only person with such passion and leadership qualities that can captain the team is John Terry.. he is the one who won us the match against T & T, and the one who would die for the cause. JOHN TERRY FOR CAPTAIN! 8) Title: Re: Today's daily treble 16/6 Post by: Royal Flush on June 16, 2006, 07:39:46 PM True. His tactics are one dimensional though. I agree he is not the best, it always seems to me with England no matter who manages them they still always go for the long ball! With Englands midfield thats just stupid! Title: Re: Today's daily treble 16/6 Post by: GlasgowBandit on June 16, 2006, 08:28:54 PM I am on argies, Holland Mexico pays just over 3/1
I also had 1st goal scorers Van Nistelrooy, Crespo and Borghetti for a £1 patent!
