Today I will be playing speed poker online against some of the best players in the world. When I signed in I saw names like ActionJack, El Blonde!!! I was scared!!!!

Then I saw  ;tk;, what  ;tk; ya I said  ;tk;

I hope he doesnt have a panic attack or get disconnected at that critical all in moment.

what site, what time?

I was not aware it was "Speed Poker", but it makes no odds to me, the starting stack is 5k, & the blinds are 12 mins for the first hour, 15 for the next, then 20 then 30. That'll do me.

It is on Mansion Poker, ifm. Starts at 5pm. I will be off to Walsall as soon as I have won it, to sweat Maria in the Ladies Comp. I feel bad, because I promised to drive across to Walsall with her, but then this came up, so I'll go across after.

I would appreciate some help with naming some of the players - I will list their aliases on here shortly.

Brian, of course, will be first out. I'll have a $50 Last Longer with him. Easy money.

Winner gets a seat in a 6 player Vegas TV Comp, $1,000,000 at stake.....

What am I doing in it? Obvious really - the Big Guns needed some valooooooo. And the TV Execs needed someone who could outplay The Rookie. J-4, was it?.....

The Lobby is neat, it lists all the runners & stacks, Laddies style.

The sound effects are troubling me, I don't know how to disable them though.

I have played 1 out or 18 hands and that was 7/4

i have played 3 hands 4/7, 4/7, AA, and i am gonna bust this guy to my left 8)

Also, YES, this is not the same thing as the Dome.

This is to decide which pros will make up half the field (the field being six players) in a televised one seat table with a one mil prize pool.

The other half will be amateurs, who will be coached by a team of pros [not the same pros as they will face in the game] in a sort of 'boot camp' stylee, before they take their seats.

I cannot see any microphone Icon......

My apologies. I could only see 4 tables of 5,5,6 & 6 - I shoulda scolled down where the other 2 tables are.

For those people who don't have access, they're using their deepstacked, long-blinded "championship" structure for this 'pro' event:

-- 5000 starting chips to each player
-- blinds up every 12 minutes for the first hour, 15 minutes for the second hour, 20 minutes for the next TWO hours, and 30 minutes thereafter.

This is not Speed Poker ;)

Currently just moved up to level four (50/100), so miles to go yet but early positions are:

Wise Owl Demetriou on 12950 (currently chip leader!)

Harry D & me in the blinds, I failed to R with  Kd Jd, mistake. Harry has me well covered in chips.

Flop was  Qd 9d 7s, I have all sorts of draws.

Harry bets,  decide to just call - another error.....

Turn is  Kh, so top pair, straigt draw & flush draw.

Harry moves all in.

For whatever reason, I don't think I can let this go now, & call, he has  9c 7h, & I fail to improve on the end.

My own fault for playing the pre-flop & flop so weakly.

Damn.

Ah well, I enjoyed the dream while it lasted.

Reflecting on the hand, if I re-R Harry on the flop, it changes nothing, he stills sets me in I believe. But still an error, & also not Raising pre-flop was daft.

I was, unusually for me, ultra nervous for some reason.

Maybe, but I don't know Harry's game, I had a mountain of outs, & it seemed - at the time - a a great opportunity tio get a lovely stack. (Any diamond, Ten, K, or J), so fave on the flop, but not on the turn.

Nothing like poker to make a fool of one, eh?

There was only one prize in today's game - a seat in the million-dollar-prizepool 6-seat televised tournament being held in Vegas at the start of next month.

There are two seats up for grabs in tomorrow's game. Together, these two tournaments represent the three seats reserved for professionals.

I go to the mansion homepage and click on the poker bit and the page never loads,
