Post by: Ironside on August 06, 2005, 05:06:25 AM ok not long before this i was huge chip leader and got unlucky in a few hands as you do in hi lo to gift lead away
after playing this hand even if i lost i would still be around 3rd in chips when i called there was 13k in the pot i the call was 10k and i had to know i had at best the low and pretty much dead on the hi unless he was playing a naked a2 was it worth calling? i am calling 10k to win at best 6.5k and if he has the hi and also the low i would be at best getting 7.75 back for the 10k this was IMHO one of the worst calls i could make in omaha hi lo lucky i fought back after losing another 10k when i flop kkqq on a high flop and was forced into calling for all my chips to chop 3 way and end my draught due to blow ups Title: Re: how bad did i play this? first time i have chopped in an online game but in PLo8 you have too when the blinds get so high that its either commit to a hand preflop or fold its not as easy as holdem if it was holdem i would have played on as i felt i was slightly better than the 2 remaining players but there first game might be holdem i prefer PLO8 Title: Re: how bad did i play this? Post by: Ironside on August 06, 2005, 05:39:46 AM oh i forgot to add 400$ is about 10% of my online bankroll that i cant refill and has been taking a huge hit recently so i was happy with taking the refill without risking getting quartered and beaten by high blinds
not all of us have big online bankrolls we chopped by emailing support they came asked what the details were and if we all agreed then transfered the money after the event finished it was my first online chop and in PLO8 wont be my last i hope Title: Re: how bad did i play this? In limit cash it might be worth it multi way, but these hands are money burners in PLO8 and chip killers in a tourny. Especially heads up. Good to see you recovered to chop. Did delta3 participate in the chop? I have him pegged as a good Limit HE and O8 player, not seen him in PLO8 for a while. Title: Re: how bad did i play this?
