The guy went ballistic and invited me to die a slow death amongst other things. To be honest, I have never had such a negative reaction. You would think I had shot his dog or something. My question is.... was it such a bad decision? I had already made a raise which he reraised. But I had him well covered by the time I had to call his 910 chips. I was aware that I was likely to be behind but even if I lost, it would put me on or around average chips with the rest. Should I be saying 10 Hail mary's and will I be forever damned or was it a reasonable decision to make in the 20 seconds allowed? ( I did finish in the money in the end) Table of contents Title: Re: Was I that wrong? Post by: GlasgowBandit on June 17, 2006, 10:50:28 PM Nothing wrong with it IMO and just a sore looser.
Title: Re: Was I that wrong? Post by: TightEnd on June 17, 2006, 10:55:15 PM I'd ignore the chat box firstly, happens all the time
He played it fine, so its just heat of the moment stuff if you lose the hand you are still in 3rd place with 9xbb, so plenty of play against the others in the pack. You have suited connecting hand that can crack a big hand As it turns out you have live cards anyway, a 60-40 shot You've already put in 400 and are having to put in 910 to win 2000 odd, in excess of 2-1 A long winded way of saying, the way you played it having raised, when it comes to the 910 call of the reraise I have no issues with it Title: Re: Was I that wrong? Post by: thetank on June 17, 2006, 10:59:38 PM I insta-call in your spot.
Statistically, you're 60:40 at having a slow painful death anyway, so I wouldn't be too concerned about the chat box. Title: Re: Was I that wrong? Post by: turny on June 17, 2006, 11:03:01 PM nothing wrong imo but what would i know im rubbish ;D
Title: Re: Was I that wrong? Post by: Jackspratt on June 18, 2006, 12:56:23 AM Thanks for that. I'm not keen on suited connectors at best of time..... the amount of times I have had AA cracked by "lesser" hands. Does dent the confidence tho to have such vitriol heaped upon you.
