It's a double shootout on Stars for a seat to the $650 WSOP final double shootout. Pretty bad play if you ask me and also the guy is full of it. Title: Re: Poker training video Post by: ifm on June 24, 2006, 12:49:26 PM Pushing with 55 to a raise and a reraise, this bloke teaches??
Title: Re: Poker training video Post by: ifm on June 24, 2006, 01:02:55 PM Then calls a big raise with 10J to cripple himself v KK, educational it is if only what not to do!!
He is using some kind of analysis software here too. Title: Re: Poker training video Post by: Indestructable on June 24, 2006, 01:04:26 PM Had to lauch at the 5-5. He starts off with explaining as to how tight he will play unkless he gets one of the top hands like k-k, a-a etc and then as soon as he gets pocket 5's he is all in. He was actually doing ok later on until he got too excited by having 10-j suited connectors and he blew it big time.
Also hadn't realised that you could block a players avater by right clicking on it. He was also so distracted by his pop up windows that he didn't comment on a player having quad kings. Having said all that i really enjoyed the concept of being able to watch this with someone talking through his own game. Anyone know how this is done. Would be great if we could get some blondeites to have a go at this. Is there any software needed to be able to do this? Title: Re: Poker training video Post by: ifm on June 24, 2006, 01:08:52 PM You need a screen recorder or capture cam software, plenty of it free on the net.
Title: Re: Poker training video Post by: ifm on June 24, 2006, 01:18:41 PM Have a look at the mansionpoker video next, he says he's played for 3 hours in a sat for a fox seat when the software goes mad (and it does) but you can clearly see it says "free play table". :D
Title: Re: Poker training video Post by: Jim-D on June 24, 2006, 02:23:15 PM I've used a product called "Camtasia" which i got from paul jackson (when he done his tutorial videos)

Title: Re: Poker training video Post by: byronkincaid on June 24, 2006, 05:19:51 PM lol that's a funny thread. my fav post was
Quote Any other pro's here play $3 sng's and still play on a dial-up connection. I wouldn't be shocked if he and his mail-order bride lives with his mom. Title: Re: Poker training video Post by: bundle on June 24, 2006, 05:27:30 PM If you want software type into google myscreenrecorder, I’ve had it for about 4 months. You get a 30 day free trial, then only $30 to purchase, Camtasia is priced at $300 I believe.
Title: Re: Poker training video Post by: Jim-D on June 24, 2006, 05:28:44 PM got mine free!! ;)
Title: Re: Poker training video Post by: Graham C on June 24, 2006, 06:18:23 PM Is this guy a good player? I have seen his video's featured on alot of different sites before Judging by the video, no. In fact, I'd say that if he's doing a training video, then I should consider doing some myself after I've had a few beers. Title: Re: Poker training video Post by: matt674 on June 24, 2006, 06:57:26 PM Thought about doing one of these instructional videos myself, got a camera all set up and everything even though monkeys and technology dont mix!!
Trouble was, 5 minutes before the tournament was about to start i managed to get banana all over, smeared all over my screen, the camera - its lens, everywhere. The tournament begins and i'm still cleaning up bits of banana and the only way i can think of getting all the nooks and crannies of the camera is to use my tongue. Now this meant that the camera tastes like a banana lollipop. And of course being technologically dosile i forgot that i'd started the camera, so if anyone wants 40 minutes footage of the inside of my mouth then they are quite welcome to it - just PM me!! :) Title: Re: Poker training video Post by: Sark79 on June 24, 2006, 07:02:06 PM :D :D No it's ok matt, I will give it a miss. A mtt video would be interesting though. Abit like the chip and a chair posts, but in colour. :D
Title: Re: Poker training video Post by: matt674 on June 24, 2006, 07:18:12 PM And for the record according to thepokerdb.com this so called "professional" has won just $114 in tournaments on pokerstars where he plays only $1-$3 mtt's.
So unless he makes all his money playing cash games i'm not quite sure how he makes a living from the game. Ok, so you have to read instead of watch!! http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=11164.0 Wanted to see what the feedback for this was like before i attempted to do anything like record it on camera!!! :D Title: Re: Poker training video Post by: Sark79 on June 24, 2006, 07:56:27 PM I think it would be something a lot of Blondes would watch if you did a video, matt.
Title: Re: Poker training video Post by: totalise on June 24, 2006, 09:28:53 PM just repeating what a couple others have said... I've used Camtasia a few times when recording cash game sessions for friends.
If you have a 1600*1200 monitor, you can select the portion of the monitor to record (you naturally put the table in here) and then hit the record button, and once you have had enough, just end the recording and then you can go back through the recording in the software, and then modify it as you see fit, adding commentary/music.. whatever you want Great software... very user friendly Title: Re: Poker training video Post by: Indestructable on June 24, 2006, 09:55:42 PM I have made my first film but stuck in uploading, fingers crossed and I can show off my poker skills. :D
Title: Re: Poker training video Post by: Indestructable on June 24, 2006, 10:06:39 PM Film uploaded, but now down to be verfiied, will post when it is up and running.
Title: Re: Poker training video Post by: Royal Flush on June 25, 2006, 01:46:55 PM Yeah i recorded some HU games using camtasia. If someone knows where you can host them i might put one or 2 up!
Title: Re: Poker training video Post by: mikee_j on June 25, 2006, 02:20:38 PM think this is a great idea if some of the blondites could post up some vids of their MTTs. think it would be an excellent way of learning for some of us who are less experienced
Title: Re: Poker training video Post by: Graham C on June 26, 2006, 12:42:17 AM How big are the files Flushy? I may be able to host them for you if they're not too big.
Title: Re: Poker training video Post by: Royal Flush on June 26, 2006, 01:38:17 AM How big are the files Flushy? I may be able to host them for you if they're not too big. Am not sure, they are on Ginger's PC i would have to check them out. The ones i made had no voiceover so i would have to re-do some or add voice over. I might just do this if we all fancy a laugh at my HU play! Title: Re: Poker training video Post by: bolt pp on June 26, 2006, 01:39:23 AM Yeah i recorded some HU games using camtasia. If someone knows where you can host them i might put one or 2 up! I dont believe you've got two that you won. Title: Re: Poker training video Post by: Royal Flush on June 26, 2006, 01:42:46 AM Yeah i recorded some HU games using camtasia. If someone knows where you can host them i might put one or 2 up! Title: Re: Poker training video Post by: Graham C on June 26, 2006, 01:44:30 AM Give me a shout if you want them hosted, it's not a problem. It's always interesting to see how people play.

I dont believe you've got two that you won. LOL Actually i had 1 really good game where i won from hardly any chips, and 1 game where i got tottaly schooled! I just started playing on pokerstars and was eager to play the heads up touneys. I've done well playing the heads up cash games on hills but cant really justify playing against that rake, its a killer. Anyway first heads up touney i play i gat k 8 in the sb and limp. mateyboy doubles blind to 40 and i call. flop comes k 8 10 i bet 80 and mateyboy raises to 240. i like to think hes got AA or AK with this raise. I move all in sure that hes slow played one of the sbove hands, maybe even kq. he calls and shows k 10, i think my lack of suprise told me that i'd moved a bit to fast in this hand and hoped that i was winning rather than fancying i was. Turn comes an 8.............sweet river comes a 10 >:( its a good game!!!! The only time you get away from that is if u are deep into a game and know the guy is a rock! But then you avoid nearly all confrontation in those games and just rob him blind! |
