Title: What would you do? Post by: Canuck on June 25, 2006, 08:43:50 AM Got an email from a friend 3 days ago, he qualified for a sat on paddy power that was last night but he couldn't play. Would I play for him? Absolutely. I never played the site so I used his account for a few multis and sit n gos to get used to the site and the type of players. The tourney started last night at 10:00pm with 746 players entered. Prizes were top2 2 get standard WSOP packages (buy in and hotels and something like 1000 cash) Anyways, the first hand of the tourney I am in the BB and get AT suited. It is folded around with only the SB calling. I then raise 3 x BB. SB goes all in immediately. I have no idea where I am so I wait and then fold. Not a good start. Immediately I am seen as someone that tried to steal or someone that was bluffed. Second hand, I get Q6 suited (clubs) in the SB. Again it is folded around and I call the BB. BB checks. Flop is T Q 7, one club. I bet the BB, he calls. Turn is another Q. I bet 2 x BB. BB then goes all in. I am dumbfounded. Twice in the first two hands I am put to calling all my chips. I am interested to see who calls and who doesn't. BTW, I called the all in and he showed QJ, the river was no help, and my friend's hard work getting into the sat was wasted by me in less then 2 minutes. I got 4th last of the tournament. Not one of my prouder moments. Title: Re: What would you do? Post by: Canuck on June 25, 2006, 08:45:18 AM That should read top 2 get prizes, not 22, sorry

Title: Re: What would you do? Post by: Jim-D on June 25, 2006, 01:30:42 PM very hard to lay that hand down in this spot....
You already said that the table might see you as a "stealer" already so he very well may be trying to push you off the hand, Just unfortunate Title: Re: What would you do? Post by: IveGotOuts on June 25, 2006, 01:58:34 PM I wouldnt like it but Id proabably fold again. He's gotta have at least a queen here really and your kicker's not great.
Title: Re: What would you do? Post by: SupaMonkey on June 26, 2006, 01:42:47 AM I would download the hand history and ask my friend if he would have played it differently.
