I ran my overpair on a rag board into AA...thank you and good night!!! Title: Re: Luton 200 freezeout tonight Post by: Splash on August 09, 2005, 02:05:33 AM Yup fun day and good to meet a few people... not the greatest poker day though. 200 sold out, busted out of the afternoon Super Sat early, onto the cash game to make a shocking call for a few hundred and then had aces cracked for a couple more.
Oh well theres always tomorrow.... GL to remaining blondites Title: Re: Luton 200 freezeout tonight Post by: Card_Shark on August 09, 2005, 02:44:53 AM Mixed day for the shark(or Rigglington as i was known today....it's a long story !), 200 comp sold out so played the 1500 satalite, 60ish runners paid 5 seats and 400 for sixth place.
Managed to win a seat finishing 2nd in chips, the unlucky one...... a nice guy called Dave who finished 6th for the remaining 400. See you guy's n gal's at the weekend for the big one. Be lucky. Title: Re: Luton 200 freezeout tonight Post by: Royal Flush on August 09, 2005, 06:13:29 AM Last 18 i am Cl on 107k
Willie Tann is 2nd on 93k and i think Jen is in 3rd with 52k, Tikay is also still in. We re-start tomorrow, i will try to knock jen or tikay out early so u guys can get updates! Title: Re: Luton 200 freezeout tonight Post by: Gamblor21 on August 09, 2005, 06:29:11 AM i was one of the chip leaders with about 25 to go... i was seriously outplayed by willie tann i think, as i did'nt have a clue where i stood in the hand! lost about 30k+ in that pot then make an allin call for 30k on a j1010 board with qj after a big think by me the women turned over kq and hit her str8...
the highs and lows of my game lol! i had big chips all night, even with a few set backs(tikay)... and i was the 1 who busted flushies aces with 76hearts! i'll have to have a think about how i played with my stack, but really it was just one hand vs willie that i feel i played bad tonight other than that i think i played well, and my own game! cheers Ian 500pl now there's my game, none of this no-limit malarcy! Title: Re: Luton 200 freezeout tonight Post by: tikay on August 09, 2005, 08:04:17 AM Overnight Chip Clounts for this comp will be posted in the General Discussion Section. Jen played quite wonderfully, including a great call against Camel for all her chips. He was at it, & she knew it. I was fortunate to take a big pot off At It Bradley. I R'd with what I thought was AA - turned out it was AJ - & he called me with 8-5 suited. He was up & down on a raggy taggy flop, I moved in, he called, but failed to improve, & I hit my set - sorry - pair - of Aces. You are going to have to sort those specs out, it's getting regular now ;D GL all blondites Title: Re: Luton 200 freezeout tonight Post by: AlrightJack on August 09, 2005, 11:00:19 AM well Tikay was 50% correct about his hand, so that has to be some kind of improvement...
Title: Re: Luton 200 freezeout tonight Post by: Titmus on August 09, 2005, 02:04:41 PM Well done James,
You must have recovered well from losing that 4 way coup when you had aces and finished 4th against 2 straights and a flush! Memo to self, must stop calling all in with the nuts... Title: Re: Luton 200 freezeout tonight Post by: tikay on August 11, 2005, 02:24:26 AM Yup, it happened again. Camel was well at it, Raising every hand, so I moved all-in thinking I had the Aces, & he called in a flash - with AA. Same hand, I say, only to find in fact that I only had J-T. I have a hunch that Hawkins swapped his hand with mine, slyly. Neat trick, considering I was in seat 8, & he was in seat 2, but you cant trust a QPR supporter,eh? Anyway, who cares, because victory for Jen was as sweet as it gets. But that's another story for another thread. Opticians in morning, then. |
