Title: Deep Purple..... Post by: TightEnd on June 30, 2006, 01:27:04 PM I was driving along the road this morning, going about my everyday business. The radio is on and I'm half listening when the following item comes up. I paraphrase:
Singer Mariah Carey is on a new diet. She announces that she will only eat purple foods on every third day and with the help of her full time nutritionist intends to publish a book on the subject soon Now even allowing for the fact that only Celine Dion challenges Mariah Carey in my "most disliked warbling diva's" mental category this strikes me as especially daft even for the renowned nutter Carey. Inevitable questions began to swirl around the empty recesses of my mind..... Purple foods? Name them Ridiculous diets? beat this one! (and I have half heartedly tried most...Atkins, G Plan, F plan, Hip and Thigh...the lot) What possible nutritional basis is there in this diet? Are people really stupid enough to buy books, video's, dvd's of such celebrity diets...? No need to answer that one! Title: Re: Deep Purple..... Post by: ifm on June 30, 2006, 01:29:56 PM Hmmmm, i love a bit of beetroot but that's just too much.................

Title: Re: Deep Purple..... Post by: byronkincaid on June 30, 2006, 02:01:41 PM I have a terrible diet but I do believe that we were designed to eat fruit and veg. I'm sure the occasional bit of meat ain't too bad for us, or at least it wasn't in the old days before we started intensive animal rearing by pumping them full of growth hormones and drugs and s***.
Anyway I'm off to McDonalds for a quarter pounder with cheese :D (has anyone else noticed that McDonalds doesn't taste as good as it used to. The buns are dry and crumble in your hands, there isn't as much ketchup and mustard put on etc etc. Cost cutting I suppose) Title: Re: Deep Purple.....
