I'd have thought a little common sense should have kicked in by now! Surely its time to put a stop to this idiotic situation. I quite enjoy the fact you get your money back for the second table. It would be nicer if they paid 2 tables just 500, it would actually increase the overall EV and decrease the variance for the skilled player, while making all the fish happy.

Sheriff Entry was 530, so you end up -30...A series of 10th -18th spots will leave you broke. >:( Title: Re: LUTON RESULT, 500 POT LIMIT Post by: Sheriff Fatman on August 11, 2005, 04:00:56 PM How so? The entry fee was only 500. The service charge is not the part you pay to the prize pool. Its still a part that comes from the players pocket! If I finish 10th out of 120 or so entries (and in some cases 140+) I'd like to think that I'd have more money in my pocket than when I started, even if its just a token amount. The UK is the only country I know that has 'prizes' of less than the original buy-in in cash tournaments. Everywhere else, B&M and online, seems to have a clue! Sheriff |
