Title: Star Trek on BBC 2 Post by: Sark79 on July 08, 2006, 03:17:46 PM They have started showing both the Original Star Trek and The Next Generation on BBC2. On just now is the first episode with Captain Pike in it. After that the first Next Generation episode is on " Encounter at Far-point".

Good to see they are showing "The Cage" before the official series, coincindentally, Sci-Fi showed the 2 parter "The menagerie", which used most of the footage of the pilot they never showed. A bunch of Star Trek fanatics voted on their favorite Captain in the Radio Times, Captain Janeway came out as the favorite. I liked Pickard the best. He was a good Captain.

I suppose I liked the fact that the fact that the characters weren't constantly on the move - so we got to know a lot about the characters and the situation they were in. Patrick is, of course, a great actor, but I also really liked what Avery Brooks did with the Sisko character, I think he was very underrated.
