It's a £500 event, & 18 players return at 3pm. There were 114 runners.

Steve Jelenik is the man in form.

Yup, Steve got a nice draw in Scotland last week, but this is England, where it's much tougher.....

Alan McLean looks very well, & he has an amazing game for a man of 93, too.

Ash Hussain is another to be watched, he's the Rankings Leader I believe.

Timmy Man is a "hot" local, Thewy clashed with him in Southend earlier this year.

Jim Kerigan like a bad smell, we can't get rid of him. (His words!)

J Kimber - the amazing Jaffa Cake on Laddies, he has awesome Online game. But he's a Geordie.

But I'm going for Jules Adamson, a lovely boy. His sweatband is ultra-cool,, he's the new Thewy, he has much in common with Yoyo, particularly that effiminate nature.

There's likely to be an accident on one table, where Tim Man, Jules Adamson, Jaffa Cake & Jim Kerrign are all sat in a row. Jaffa Cake has a remarkable game, he makes some awesome calls Online if he has the odds.

Tim Man is a lovely guy. Of Chinese origin (or out that way somewhere), he has a great sense of humour. Like him a lot. I think he lives in Orpington, or Tunbridge Wells, or maybe somewhere else.

Jaffa Cake (Jeff Kimber) is OUT. Dunsford Raised it up, Jsaffa moved in with 9-9, & Jim Dunsford eventually made the call with QQ. No outdraw, &, sadly, we lose Jaffa.

I am still trying to work out how 9 players busted out in the first 90 minutes this afternoon with this structure, though I only managed 2 hours in total, so I can't be critical.  But 50k was average (I think), & it was a 1 hour clock with blinds at 1k-2k, so 25 x BB average. The McLean Factor helped I guess.

Jim Kerrigan refuses to die. He's doubled up again & again, & is nicely back in it now with 80k. He just left enough behind in a 3 way Pot to get rid of both Jelenik & Hussain, who both passed to Jim's all-in for 25k on  9-3-2 flop, Ash Hussain showing A-J suited.

I have a big batch of PM's to answer, my apologies, but my Vodafone Dubree is playing up, so they will have to wait until I get home, tomrrow probably.

All you young hot-shoes would do well to take on board Alan McLean's game. He's busy busy busy here, as always, Raising the lfe out of the table. Look him up on one of the Databases & check out his record. He must have scores & scores of Ranking Finals to his name. Mild-mannered, always a smile, were that there were more like him around.

Hi Tikay, fine work as ever, bit cross with my play today after doing the ActionJack plod all day yesterday to get in a decent position, just a bad read and frustration at having to play without any hands for two hours. I can't believe he took so long to call with QQ five handed, has he not seen me play!?

Have to tell u a hand from yesterday, me and Jim Kerrigan sat two apart for eight hours or so. Late on, dealer is, well, dealing, and accidentally flicks over  Qd which should be Jim's first card. She deals on and of course gives him the last card. He is second to speak and makes a big show of 'I hope for your sake that queen wasn't important (joking of course), and looks impressed at his cards and raises. I'm two to him left, look down to find  Kh Ks and reraise. He stares me down and then stares at the dealer, saying your replacement wasn't bad, showing  Aspades, but if you could have left the  Qd face down I'd have been a lot happier...and he shows  Qs. I think maybe all the chips go in if he keeps the queens....I told Jim I'd tell him what I had one day....feel free to tell him what a lucky chap he is hehe.

Ash Hussain is OUT in 3rd. He called Tim's Raise all-in with  Ahrt Jd, Tim showed  Ac Jc, but the flop came all clubs!

Tim just suggested to Jim that they split the remaining lolly half each (£12,500 each) & play for the trophy thing.

Jim quickly agreed, and it was a fair offer, as Tim has Jim nicely covered.
