Title: 2nd hand laptop
Post by: smithy69 on July 10, 2006, 12:47:49 PM
Hi Guys,

I was wondering if anyone had a laptop that they weren't using, or were looking to replace in the near future - and would possibly be interested in selling me a 2nd hand one.

I would be interested in any model as I would only use it for Betfair and Poker so doesn't need to have any special modifications or even look nice. As long as it works and has no probs with internet connectivity

I have been looking around and to be honest I can't justify spending loads with a 8 week old baby to look after, so am looking for a cheaper option.

cheers guys

Hey Smithy,

I just got a laptop from   laptopshop.co.uk . It was Refurbished and very cheap for the spec. They also do second hand ones too. Also another site that was good was student laptops.

good luck

to be honest bud, it is probably advisable to go thru a company, especially one of the companies that specialise in refurbished ex-lease stuff. couple of reasons

- You have some safeguard (normally a 90 day warranty), which is the most likely time that anything is going to go wrong.

- It will be realistically priced - laptops have come right down in price, and the problem for individuals they seem to think cos they paid a grand for it 2 years ago, they can still get 600 quid for it now, despite the fact that a new laptop can be got for 350 quid.

incidentally there are some good new deals at the moment...

Dell seem to be always doing great deals on pc's and laptops - worth checking out.
