Title: Poker Channel Post by: Indestructable on July 17, 2006, 08:32:05 PM I had this from the poker channel today:
We are changing... ...but don't worry, it's only the name! From Monday 17th July, The Poker Channel will be changing its name to 'All In Sport'. We will still be bringing you fantastic Poker action 7 days a week - alongside the best in Fishing, Fighting and Football! We allready have the player channel which was intended to show Poker and gambling at i'ts best, but ended up with cast off shows and repeats from Bravo. It's odd that the poker channel went from it's original slot to a channel number in a range of gaming channels only to now change to sport. Is it a sign that they are losing out to Poker night live, or just another example of the poker bubble bursting? Title: Re: Poker Channel Post by: Ironside on July 17, 2006, 08:41:26 PM poker channel started out with big ideas which they were unable to live upto and pokerzone has progressed to such a level that the pokerchanel wasnt even a close compettior IMHO i rarely if ever watch the poker channel any more
the latest change might help the channel because they might be able to get a channel number in the 400-440 area which will increase its ratings channels 840-900 will struggle to gain ratings as the passing viewers dont flick past those channel to be stopped Title: Re: Poker Channel Post by: Scottish Dave on July 17, 2006, 08:43:47 PM in my opinion, both channels are shockingly unwatchable!!!
the only channels im interested in are: 1/ Challenge 2/ Player - great coverage of WSOP and WPT events Title: Re: Poker Channel Post by: El Yortle on July 17, 2006, 08:55:33 PM I haven't watched anything on The Poker Channel since the 2006 British Poker Open. Everything since then has just been repeats. :(
