Title: Re: John Gale Post by: tikay on July 22, 2006, 12:05:11 PM It's just wonderful news, I am struggling to think of a nicer guy in Poker. And he was a shade unlucky against Brian last year, so this one was due. Title: Re: John Gale Post by: marcro on July 22, 2006, 12:14:57 PM Congratulations. Anyway, well done John. Title: Re: John Gale Post by: TightEnd on July 22, 2006, 12:44:15 PM Well done John, tremendous news for you...it was overdue...and great news for British poker too.

Title: Re: John Gale Post by: Peter Costa on July 22, 2006, 03:11:32 PM John is simply one of the sweetest guys you could ever meet. As for putting a few beats on others? Lets just say that John likes to mix it up a fair bit by raising with any two cards from any position. This makes him a very dangerous and gutsy player. In fact, he was my first choice to win an event this year as he always has a chance to accumilate chips with his style of play. Nice one John!

I'm not criticising, to win any large tournament you will have to deal a few bad beats where you got the money in and thought you had the best hand but didnt. Its just amusing the reaction from the twoplustwo forumers who got knocked out by John ;) Title: Re: John Gale Post by: jbsc7769 on July 23, 2006, 11:15:32 AM Congratulations. I have to actually concur, the first 40 minutes of this table saw some of the most incredible beats, not just JG. One in particular got such a loud reaction from the crowd, I am sure it could have been heard a mile away! Basically a player was all in (pretty sure it was JG although I stand to be corrected), He had AK, matey boy had 88, flop A8x, turn Ace, river King. We could have seen four exits within that period, literally, but the river saving the underdog on all occassions. Certainly a lively table. Live poker, its rigged I tell 'ya. Title: Re: John Gale Post by: londonpokergirl on July 23, 2006, 11:22:31 AM John is such a sweetie. Met and played with him at a Pokerstars media event and

Great result mate. Title: Re: John Gale Post by: Colchester Kev on July 23, 2006, 01:22:00 PM pretty sure he is sponsored by poker stars, he always seems to be wearing their gear .
Title: Re: John Gale Post by: MrMoves on July 23, 2006, 01:49:21 PM He was wearing an 888 cap when he won the bracelet.
I don't think he has any sponsorship. Although, I'm sure 888 didn't get that exposure for free.
