Disappointingly we've had very little rain so it would seem we're only catching the edge of the storms going along the south coast. That Isle of Wight always gets in the way! lol

I loved it, i propped up on a bench for about 10 mins before carrying on home, it was lovely! Title: Re: Storm Post by: MrMoves on July 22, 2006, 12:55:27 PM We had an almighty storm at about 4am in the East Mids.

That Isle of Wight always gets in the way! lol They didnt go along the south coast, they came across the channel from France, the Isle of Wight only caught the edge too. Most of it was between Chichester and Eastbourne. All good fun when every car alarm in the car park was set of by the strength of the rain! Title: Re: Storm Post by: Woodsey on July 22, 2006, 06:39:50 PM I'm currently in the process of doing my private pilots licence and had my first flying lesson this morning when the storm hit. When I went up the sun was out and the weather was nice but within 15 miniutes we were in the middle of it.
Think of the turbulence you get when you are in a big jet going on your hols and times it by 5-10, thats what is was like, I nearly pooped myself. Oh well I suppose i would have to go through that at some point, good to get it out of the way! Title: Re: Storm Post by: Woodsey on July 22, 2006, 07:37:45 PM Nottingham airport- I'm thinking about going all the way with this potentially dependant on a number of factors....finance being the key factor. I might be in touch after I've done my PPL for some advice thanks for the offer.
