Calling pre-flop I thought was OK - although maybe a mindset of hit the flop hard or get out of the way should have bee the policy.

On the flop I think I was too week (it had been fairly passive game previously).

The turn was just designed to get me in trouble, i was certain that after the pot sized bet i was behind, but i could see the 15 outs so about 30ish % wth pot odds of abouut 2:1.

Poker calculator later puts me at 32.6% - 67.4%

Call and chase, or fold (only $7.50 invested in the pot to that point)?

Really, I think you can't consider the 9's to be outs here except for a split pot. I would expect him to have Q9 and not 97 here.

He played the hand terribly, he calls on the flop for the idiot end of a gutshot straight on a two club board...I want to play against him!!!!

I would fold on the turn and then reload, you can't be sure the turn has provided you with additional outs...

Floppy is spot on, he is clearly a very poor player!

When its raised back at you for $4 more, re-pop it, he doesnt have a hand he likes much there or he would have potted it himself.

I'm going to print that out, frame that and stick it on my wall.   :D
