AA and KK less likely cos I've got AK right? Also he surely doesn't play top set like that on the flop. Prob got the same as me? Slight poss QQ or some kind of flush draw? Call or Fold? Title: Re: AK again Post by: Royal Flush on July 28, 2006, 06:09:45 PM I think by now you have to call. I may be wrong though its all too deep for me!

Seriously though, that isn't an easy one - the fact that he blasts at the pot would make me (if I were in that scenario) think he's weak rather than strong. These are the kinds of hands that I get into trouble with playing cash games online, because I go - "hey that looks weak, he probably doesn't want a call", only to find I'm up against a complete rookie who indeed has a set or whatever, but doesn't know from squat about 'milking' a good hand. I'd probably call - and then swear at the walls when he turns out to have 5c 5s. (I eagerly await the verdict from experienced cash players as to what to do in situations like this ;) ) Title: Re: AK again Post by: NoflopsHomer on July 28, 2006, 07:17:55 PM I'm a cash-fish but why are you checking TPTK here?
Title: Re: AK again Post by: Royal Flush on July 28, 2006, 07:33:55 PM I'm a cash-fish but why are you checking TPTK here? I like it, why bet it? What turn card scares him? You give the oppo a chance to take a stab at it if he is behind aswell. Title: Re: AK again Post by: Rookie (Rodney) on July 30, 2006, 07:10:39 PM I would bet out $20-$30 on the flop myself and see what happens, if he pushes i fold.
The way you played it i would probably fold, i guess he has AA?? Title: Re: AK again Post by: byronkincaid on July 30, 2006, 07:40:12 PM Yeah he had AA. Interesting that people are advocating a donk bet here. I hardly ever do it but I have no idea why.
