I have a Marshall Head and Cab for sale, the cab has 4x12" speakers, it has some damage to the casing but it works fine. It sounds awesome for rock guitarist.

Also if interested, im selling an Ibanez RG320.

The blondepoker forum is riddled with this kind of chaff.  If you want to be a smart ass, at least get it right.  The auction to which you refer still has nearly FIVE DAYS until it finishes.  If you have ever bought or sold anything on eBay, you will know that an item doesn't really start selling until the last few MINUTES.  To check the 'market value' of anything, you really have to log in and check for auctions that have already finished.

Have A Nice Day.

A bit harsh Mrs Lime!  I presume Mad knows a bit about guitars otherwise she wouldn't have commented.  If not, I'm sure people who would be interested in buying would know whether or not this is good value.

Mad wasn't trying to be a smart ass!

There is no need for that kind of attitude, Mrs Lime.

I play guitar extremely badly.  I have three guitars, one is a nice telecaster copy .  My mates Dad used to make guitars, he made a couple of great electric guitars for my mates older Brother.  He still uses them daily and plays in a band about 15 years after they were made.  He also made a walnut Bass guitar which took about 5 months to build, watching the process is amazing.  To see a lump of wood turn into a musical instrument is fantastic.

Hey, Mad is a top class person.  She wouldn't try to be a smart ass on purpose.  Maybe it is just the way you interpreted it Mrs Lime.  I don't think it looked that way at all

Oh please.  The clear and sole purpose of madasahatstand's unsolicited, unconstructive posts was to insinuate that bleed_crimson's amp is heavily overpriced.  I was merely pointing out that she is totally uninformed and doesn't know what she is talking about.  It is not even mentioned what model head is for sale, so how can she even start to compare it to one that is being sold on eBay in five days' time?  Some Marshall heads + 4x12s sell for £400 or more, what do you make of that?  Despite knowing nothing about guitar amps OR eBay, she is dishing out ridiculous advice.  I am not being rude, she WAS being a smart ass and I stand by my comment.

Lynch away!

I don't want to lynch anyone but, if you are right, surely anyone who might genuinely be interested in buying would know the value?  Why the need to come on here and stir things up?

Perhaps you could have made your point in a less inflamatory/more constructive way Mrs Lime.

As a moderator of this forum I didn't take kindly to your opening line.

"The blondepoker forum is riddled with this kind of chaff"

You are perfectly entitled to your opinion, but please don't resort to defamation when expressing it.

Tell him not to worry - no reflection on him as far as I can see.  I think it would perhaps be an idea if this thread was deleted so that he could start a fresh one.

Perhaps you could have made your point in a less inflamatory/more constructive way Mrs Lime.

As a moderator of this forum I didn't take kindly to your opening line.

"The blondepoker forum is riddled with this kind of chaff"

Ok, I understand what you are saying, but I don't think I have been defamatory.  'Chaff' is hardly a rude or offensive word; rather, I think it describes mad's post quite well.  I don't know if Nemesis is kidding when he asks what 'chaff' means... "when you separate the wheat from the chaff, you select what is useful or valuable and reject what is useless or worthless" (from usingenglish.com).  Blondepoker is an amazing and unique resource BUT let's be honest there is a lot of sifting to do.

The original poster is just trying to sell a guitar amp.  If you have nothing relevant to contribute, leave him alone!  Bona fide replies might consist of questions such as "What is the model of amp" / "What speakers are installed", stuff like that; or if you want to have a discussion, then maybe such comments as "Those Marshalls are real workhorses" would be appropriate.

What is completely useless is to have people log onto the forum and, with absolutely no grounds, accuse the guy of being a rip-off merchant.  (For the record, I neither know the seller nor know what his amp is worth.)

Claw75 said, referring to my post: "surely anyone who might genuinely be interested in buying would know the value?  Why the need to come on here and stir things up?".  Thank you: that was my point exactly!

Comments noted and I think we should leave it like that, please. But for the record I don't think anyone read it mad's post accusing anybody of being a rip off merchant.
