Anthony Jones won  after a short HU battle with the lovely Hells Bells to pocket $1 million (US) Hellls picked up $200,000US which i believe was s[plit 50-50 with Marty Wilson

Hate to say it but I take it all back. Hells Bells played alright. so did Anthony Jones. Don't get me wrong, there was nothing clever in their games and Helen certainly got lucky a few times but you trap call with AA against a free rolling amature player and you get whats coming. Their pre and post game interviews they made themselves sound worse than they were (if you get cards...all about luck...bang it in and go home...etc)

What was the Bengt Sonnert self destruct about aswell. 5,6 under NO pressure and he moves all in on Don O'Dea with 10,10
thats my bet up the river.

I think he got into the mindset of thinking that Don Tony and Helen would hate to double him up and would lay down AJ AT etc preflop. Just got unlucky to run into TT. I think he got fed up of raising and getting popped back preflop and decided to take the decision out of his own hands. Pity really as he's a very good player.

Folowing the exit of Martin Wednt i am almost certain the other 2 did a deal.  they were playing so tight and looked so nervous with 3 left and as soon as they came bask after the break they were laughing and joking and getting it all in with shite!  _ I would say they split it 50-50 and just played it out for the cameras.

Hells Bells actually got 400,000, not 200,000. Wendt got 200,000. $75k for fourth, 40k then 20k.

I also wondered if a deal had been done in private.

i thought it was great telly, a really good mix of styles with a nice surprise at the end.
the AA vs K6s was one of the most exciting hands i've ever watched, great stuff.
not that the game needs bigging up at the moment, but anthony's winning a million for a zero investment has gotta be a another winning headline

The AA v K-6 hand? Spookily, the identical match up occurred tonight at Sheffield, Dave with K-6, & Alan McLean with AA. Dave flopped 2 pair to bust Alan's cutely played Aces.
