Title: The worst player in the Main Event Post by: RobS on August 02, 2006, 11:47:20 PM There's 8,000+ players, but if Cardplayer are anywhere near close to correct, this one must take the biscuit. Blinds are 300/600.
Player X raises to $3,000 from early position. The big blind re-raises to $8,000 and Player X makes it $38,000. The big blind goes all-in for $24,000 total and shows KheartKspade. Player X shows Adiamond5diamond. The board comes Aspade9diamond7club5spadeAclub, and Player X eliminates another player and boosts his chip count to $120,000. Embarassing. Title: Re: The worst player in the Main Event Post by: Rupert on August 03, 2006, 12:08:32 AM It would be worse if player X wasnt the aggressor. He coulda just thought the other player was putting a move on him... Bad read that worked out ok

Title: Re: The worst player in the Main Event Post by: The Camel on August 03, 2006, 03:59:01 AM Last year there was this really old guy on my table (I would guess he was older than tikay. Yes, he really was that old)
He never released his hand if he had any pair. He lost his last 6000 check calling the river on a board of KKQJ8 with pocket fives. He never said a word and just left the table with a little shake of his head. The most extraordinary performance I've ever witnessed. Title: Re: The worst player in the Main Event Post by: julian on August 03, 2006, 09:27:03 AM this one nearly brought tears to my eyes,
25-50, two of the numpties on my table got their 10k in on a x,6,7,8,9 board. chopchop i was thinking, but no, A-9 wins and 8-3 gets to walk. ...no such gifts for me i'm afraid lol Title: Re: The worst player in the Main Event Post by: wsopin07 on August 03, 2006, 06:55:56 PM WOW, i am famous!
I had laid down 3 raises to this guy, i had a lot of chips and I decided to put him to the test!!! I was lucky, but the cards went against me in the next level and I took some tough beats. I have a style and thought process about the game that few understand or like, but I really don't care about that! It was very disappointing to go out on day 2 after having 170K, maybe I played like a clown, maybe not. I think the real thing to consider is the fact that no one ever knows what is going through a players head because you are not experiencing what that play is going through at that table. I made the best reads of my life in the 1st 2 hours of day 2 and I stayed w/ then all day. If not for a flopped set against the other guys nut flush I may be the chip leader of the entire event! I do like the worst player thing, I think it suits me just fine :D ;goodvevil; good luck to everyone still in, see you at the Benny Hill Grand Prix in Oct 8) Title: Re: The worst player in the Main Event Post by: Colchester Kev on August 03, 2006, 06:58:04 PM good luck to everyone still in, see you at the Benny Hill Grand Prix in Oct 8) Now that really made me laugh out loud.. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D Title: Re: The worst player in the Main Event Post by: mikkyT on August 03, 2006, 07:02:52 PM Brian get your ass to blonde bash 3
