Title: First Live Game Post by: poker_biker on August 05, 2006, 11:54:26 AM Been playing poker reasonably successfully on the net for 18 months and anxious to have a go at a live Tourney.
I'm thinking of going down to the Gutshot tomorrow for the afternoon Freezeout. Has anybody done this tourney? Are the regulars hard on newbies? I'm a bit nervous because I've never dealt before. Any advice welcome. Poker_biker Title: Re: First Live Game Post by: BrumBilly on August 05, 2006, 12:06:58 PM Good luck down there, though don't see you've anything to worry about. Never played there on a Sunday so not sure what's on. Dealing shouldn't worry you (just keep the cards down whichever method u choose and mind they can be slippery...left of the button shuffles and right of the button cuts).
Most of the crowd there are pretty sound (only a few idiots but less than in your average casino..IMO). (may be think about trying the £5 rebuy on a Tues to get the feel of playing live...and I'd avoid the cash for now) Enjoy, Will.
