Having finally spent all my past TV winnings I thought I would have a go at applying for a few more TV shows and have this week heard that I have been chosen for a couple of auditions. With one on Tuesday and one the week after. Not much idea what the shows are about, but sure that winning money was involved, so should be fun. :D
I am sure that some of you will think at least he will stop going on about Casino Casino now. Or at least that was what i thought until I noticed the series is being repeated again on Challenge TV from last night.

Casino Casino had that guy from Spandau Ballet in it, it was well cool.

So cheesy and just plain wrong, it was actually right.

If I was even on the show I'd never shut up about it. You won the grand final ffs, if anything I think you don't mention it enough. (Well, maybe just the right amount ;) )

Good Luck with your auditions, you've a tough act to follow. (Stay away from 15 to 1, it's well hard and you win piss all  :D )

Had my audition on Tuesday. as soon as I entered the hall I noticed it was a whose who of Tv game show contestants. 6 off deal or no deal, 4 off weakest link, a few off countdown etc. It was almost like a beauty competition where we are trying to outdo each other with stories of the shows we have been on. (it's a sad world but i love it!)
It was a long day but good fun. Had a multiple choice quiz and scored 29/50 and a written test and scored 25/50.
i guess it is hard to judge whether this is good or bad without seeing the questions but i think i had reasonably good scores, there were many higher scores but lots lower. In the written scores there were severral that didn't make double figures.
There is nothing like seeing a professor of swottyness being asked the name of postman pats cat and him commenting that it was a stupid question and that no one would know it. i commented that would they like to know his number plate as well for a bonus! :D
this was followed by a question and answer interview in front of the camera. No idea how i have done, but happy I could do no more than I did.
So fingers crossed.

I can remember watching that casino thing, the blackjack dealer was REALLY slow, was that for TV or was she just that slow, if i dealt Blackjack that slow the punters would shout at me lol, then i'd get a kick off the pit boss lol

Another audition done and dusted. this was a lot of fun and should be a good show. The main difference on this one is that you are paired up with a stranger and you play as a team. The stranger could end up helping you to win loads or of course throwing away all your money. We did a written test and although i don't know the scores I think i did quite well. Ranging from knowing William Shakespeares wife to the winner of Big Brother 6. funnily enough i would have forgotten this one but for the thread on Blonde about the guy that lost to the tranny. :D
We also did a quick try of the game and went well until i knew who Mike Tyson was, but my partner in the game did not recognise Frank Bruno.  :dontask:

I just said I couldn't make it and I am now "in the pile of applications". Oh well.

they just expect you to drop everything eh?  I applied years ago for the Weakest Link (yes, I know I would have been it).  Didn't hear anything and presumed my application had been relegated to the bin.  Then one day, out of the blue, about 2 years after I sent my application in, I got a phone call at work from the BBC. 

BBC "We'd like you to come to an audition tomorrow"
Me "what time?"
BBC "11am"
Me "sorry, I won't be able to make it, I have to work"
BBC "pardon?  can't you get time off?"

etc etc.  I said that I would have attended had I had a bit more notice, and they said they'd put my application back in the pile - never heard from them again.

I did audition for Countdown twice though - they were lovely and gave me lots of notice :)  Didn't get on though :(

1 versus 100, it is the new "lottery" show.

Call from a lady at the Beeb. "good news you have been selected for the recording of the show on the following weekend now, can you make it?"

Well first show is this Sunday, chances of getting picked are slim, well 1 in 100 to be precise. But then it is down to how well i do as to the odds of getting picked next. For example if i am one of 10 left that have got the answers right then I have a 1 in 10 chance.
So now off to learn a load of useless facts including big brother winners 2000-2006 :D If i am not posting much you will know I am busy swotting. Keep your fingers crossed for me. :)up

Well sadly no money for me. Out of the 100 that took part only 4 of us got to be the 1.
I might have stood a better chance of being selected if I knew anything about:
Jazz (I know nothing on Jazz)
Casualty (never watch it)
Fashion (need i say more)
Did very well on one show and reached last 13 and the 1 deliberately chose fashion to knock some of us out while he used a "pass".
Oh well back to the drawing board. To make matters worse the show on Friday has been brought forward to an earlier time which I can't make so not happy. The dream is over.

Just back from filming 1 versus 100 and not picked again. Still good fun and some big winners, just a shame it wasn't me.  :'( The questions I got wrong I didn't have a clue on, so not much I can do.

Oh well, next audition tomorrow so fingers crossed.

Eamon Holmes was in good form and as he is a United fan I took a bit of friendly stick about City and had a great time.
