Title: POKER 425
Post by: MPOWER on August 10, 2006, 12:12:38 AM
Just watched Poker 425

Tikay on top form, regardless of who fronts the show
Tony does make it worth watching.

It would be intresting to see what the Poker people
would like to see in its content.

I enjoy the interviews. but I think there missing a
trick going back to 30 minutes

regards

M

I dont want to sound harsh but I stopped watching it now, i prefer the uncut version on pnl where we get 3-4hrs of tikey!

30mins is such a rush, what with results, news etc... no time for banter.

I think it's widely agreed that, (& let's ignore my "contribution", such as it is, to the show) that 1 hour was better.

But it was shortened for a very good reason, & although I can't go into details yet while, it's actually rather exciting, & will result, quite soon, in a "new, improved, 425". So it was done for the long-term good of the show.

In the near term, we resume our Event-Based coverage this week, at Luton. And, from late August, we will be covering TWO Events weekly for about a month, as in addition to each weekend's Main Event, 425 will be at all 4 of the "William Hill Grand Prix 2" Land-Based Qualifiers. These take place in London, Newcastle, Birmingham, & Dublin. The last-named is on Friday September 8th, which is bB3-eve, so that will be a bit of a rush, but on the upside, the entire 425 & William Hill Team will be coming across from Dublin to bB3 on the Saturday morning.

I concur, the 60mins show was much, much better, but this snippet of info is certainly interesting.

The thing is Acid, some folks prefer LESS banter, & more Poker, whilst others want the opppsite. It's a balance thing I suppose, & the need to cater for as many tastes as possible.

I have just seen this weeks show. Loved Tikay's tip of not backing chip leader Jamie Gold in the main event. :D

The highlight of this weeks show for me was Johnny Gould's reference to "plonker"  rotflmfao
