The only thing I have done is remove the names and highlight my chat. Amazing. They also changed my alias without bothering to contact me! I logged in and was playing under a completely different alias, which caused total confusion as you can imagine with a couple of tables popping up and not a clue who I was.

 I had not expected my alias of "masterbaiting" to last long but just to change it without any contact whatsoever!

I asked why I got banned expecting them to refer to another episode but it seems that this torrent of. erm. well. erm, abuse was the reason. The reply.

They changed my alias to tinywiny (tiny whiney) lol which is brilliant. Combined that with the chat ban for such extreme language as "can you look at hand history on this site¿". Still not sure if the whole thing is a wind up but the replies do not seem full of laughter.
The abusive language in the email was one word where I said that they changed my alias to insult me by calling me tiny whiney so they might as well have just called me a c**t and get it over and done with. lol. As you can tell desperately trying to get a refund for the confusion caused when they logged me out (the next day!) and this caused problems with tournament that I was in. Then when I logged back in an hour or so later my alias had changed. No luck their though.

Great entertainment for the day and such a tale to tell. Kept the emails and will print out the first one and frame it.

you need to expect to get your chat banned when you are offensive to people and have a name like you picked. why are you so surprised? There are a lot of catholics online who dont like that kind of thing....lol (only kidding about the catholic thing)

i once had a guy calling me a peodophile and a kiddy fiddler. i need to say that i was hugely offended and phoned to complain. turns out the guy had his chat banned 2 times before (it was on his profile). if i were the one making decisions on laddies, i would not have ever let this guy back on. i ended up calling him a '****' and got myself chat  barred. a player called sarahjane called laddies on my behalf and told them what the script was and reported the creep too. i got my chat back on but was raging. firstly at myself for taking the bait but secondly, about the creep who had not been totally banned although had his chat banned several times previously.

i dont know why you wasted the effort of picking a name that would get you barred/reprimanded. if you want a laugh with this kind of thing, there are special yahoo chat rooms you can go to vent your anger and fraustrations. the abuse rooms are there for those who want to give it and those sickos who want to take it. simple!

I think a ban for that is fair enough.  I've seen much worse though.

claw, cheers for pointing that out so coloured it now, I had done them as red but it is difficult to see as you can tell, tried to change them to green but pathetically gave up (it was late at night and silently playing poker at the same time). The email was copied and pasted. That is what they sent me. I am not moaning about the chat ban as it was deserved for for an outburst, that they did not mention, but I just find it amazing that they used these lines as examples and then sent them to me!

The chat that could be found abusive was actually has nothing to do with any one on the table as I was chatting with a mate! Complete random stuff and quotes from a film as it happens. Then if you look at the times you will see that half the lines were earlie on and even the Pope could not be upset with some of those lines.

The reply has to be the biggest wind up of the week and I have fallen for it. Shame on me.

i know about these chat rooms as i used to use them when i first went online. i had lots of fun in the rooms but to be honest, i got bored silly after i found other uses for my pc.

Surely you would know which one you were, even without knowing your alias, it would be the one you could see the cards of?! ::)

I very rarely use the chat box so I wouldnt know what would be classed as 'ban worthy'.

If you really want to talk to your pal about cleaning dirty girlies dirt boxes, you can do so by about 1,000,000 other means on the internet.

How long do chat bans last for?   Some people on pokerstars seem to have permanent chat bans.  I got an email from a site ages ago, I can't even remember what site it was.  Someone had complained because I typed in " What a lucky git you are " .  I only got a warning because the person had complained.  Just wait till they end up at a final table with Tony G, " Lucky git" will sound like a compliment.  I was confused by the complaint because I had played with the guy alot of times before

C'mon now sark - we all know that the warning you received wasn't just for calling someone a "lucky git" - it was where you questioned his legitimacy, made accusations that his mother sought extra money by working in houses of ill repute and threatening to seek out where he lived and pay him a visit to remove his buster gonads with a rusty Stanley knife....

Though i believe you worded it slightly differently than i have above!! ;)

lol (obviously not on the chat) but chat ban now extended and deservedly so. Chat ban fine for what I did say but not for what they sent me. Had expected this yesterday so it shows how slow and poor they are at their job (first thing I would have done). It seems apart from standard known abuse, which they did not consider abuse, I used such phrases as "does any one know the time", " ty " , " I was a bit lucky there " etc.

I had one of those sessions today - I think it was ultimately more enjoyable than the game itself.
