Title: Re: Giant courgette Post by: snoopy1239 on August 21, 2006, 03:47:50 AM Dare I ask why there is a giant courgette in the flat? 8)
Title: Re: Giant courgette Post by: danafish on August 21, 2006, 03:58:23 AM It's not in the flat any more, it's been grilled.
And I'm not going to rise to whatever it is you're implying. You have to admit, though, it's a pretty special courgette. Title: Re: Giant courgette Post by: snoopy1239 on August 21, 2006, 03:59:06 AM pft

Your pathetic courgette is nothing compared to my giant lemon! (http://img80.imageshack.us/img80/2796/lemonth7.jpg) ... This clearly doesn't fit the criteria for this challenge - it's a fruit. 8) Title: Re: Giant courgette Post by: Wardonkey on August 21, 2006, 02:22:05 PM This clearly doesn't fit the criteria for this challenge - it's a fruit. 8) A courgette is also a fruit... Title: Re: Giant courgette Post by: Jon MW on August 21, 2006, 02:29:25 PM This clearly doesn't fit the criteria for this challenge - it's a fruit. 8) A courgette is also a fruit... That confused me, I looked up courgette and was told it's a marrow. Looked up marrow Quote marrow 2 (also vegetable marrow) a an annual plant with large prickly leaves, native to tropical America but cultivated worldwide for its large, oblong, edible fruit; b the fruit of this plant which has a thick, green or striped skin, and soft white flesh, and is cooked as a vegetable. That would explain why it's so confusing then. Title: Re: Giant courgette Post by: RED-DOG on August 21, 2006, 03:29:58 PM I Spent some time in Brighton with Flushie this weekend.

Title: Re: Giant courgette Post by: I, Zimbra on August 21, 2006, 08:27:13 PM Now down the road there lives a man I'd like you all to know,
He grew a big zucchini for the local flower show And when the story got around they came from far and wide, And when then saw what he had grown, everybody cried..... Ooooh! What a beauty, I've never seen one as big as that before, Oh Oh! What a beauty, it must be two foot long or even more. And it's such a lovely color, so big, and round, and fat, I've never seen a zucchini grow quite as big as that, Oh Oh! What a beauty, I've never seen one as big as that before. He was leaning on the garden gate the other day, And beckoned to a lady who lives just across the way, He took her down the garden path and showed it to her with pride, And when she saw the size of it, the little lady sighed.. Third verse, worse than the first! And then the flower show was held and everybody went, To see this huge zucchini, lying there inside the tent. Soon the judges came along to give the prizes out, And they only took one look at it and they began to shout, Now what did they shout???" OOOOOH! --- Tim Curry, 'Saturday Night Live'.
