Title: What day is it Post by: bolt pp on August 24, 2006, 04:14:43 PM I decided to take the summer off from playing poker for a living and only play recreational.
I was down about £1800 after doing so. Ive tried to get back to my normal routine for the last 10 days or so but have come noware near. If there are 10 things i need to be in place for me to play continual, profitable poker then probably 2-3 of them are at the moment. I'm £700 down for the last week alone. Since having a drunken laugh with the tank and jinky on Saturday morning i dont think Ive slept for more than two hours at a time and ave been on a serious continual session. So any way about half an hour ago this happens...................... My mate knocks and asks for £100, i haven't got it on me but my mate on the estate who works on the building site across the road ows me £200 so i say we'll get it out of that, save me going to the cash point. I go to the building site and my mates not there which i find extremely strange that he hasn't turned up for pay day. We go to hes flat and we go in. now i never ask for money back that Ive lent people, i just dont do that with my real mates and they haven't to me in the past, but this guy always makes the point of putting the money in my pocket as soon as he's got it. So we sit there for about 10 mins and he doesn't offer me the dough so i say have you got that money cos Ive got to give this guy £100. he says, no tomorrow. He's had problems with hes boss not paying him on time before and i say to him lets go and ave a word with hes boss now cos a couple of things have happend that have made me think hes boss is mugging him off. He looks puzzled and says " i always get payed on a Friday today is Thursday". I could've fallen over right there. I was 100% sure that it was Friday and couldn't cover it up either, they was asking me if i was alright but i feel alright i just felt a bit worried that i lost a day someware!!! I felt proper stupid, i haven't really watched any TV or bought a paper since last Friday, i would've bet money today was Friday. Anyway I'm going to bed. Look on the bright side of your insomnia- if you keep this up when you think you're 70 you'll actually only be a sprightly 60!
