Thats as good a draw as we could hope for.

Man Utd are obviously the best side in the group but the Scotland/England thing will be a bit of a leveller

Benfica are a decent side but a trip to Lisbon will mean at least 20,000 'tic fans will make the journey, I hope to be one of them!

Copenhagen got a great result against Ajax but I'd be looking for 4 points from them.

Tough draws for Arsenal & Chelsea but both should go through.

Benfica are underrated. Very organised and tough to beat at home.

we are GTD 6points from Man Utd home and away, weve played them so many times, they've just become to predictable!

Celtic may get a point at home vrs Copenhagen.  I won't be risking any cash on more than that.

Who can talk to me about Werder Bremen? Are they a threat to Chelsea and Barca?

They are a very good and under rated team, IMO, Tighty.  That group is not clear cut.

Second best side in Germany and were imo the strongest of the pot 3 sides, made knockout stages last year and would have KO'd Juve had it not been for an almighty blunder by their 'keeper in the last minute.  Can't see them splitting Barca and Chelsea though.

As to Celtic, I'm a complete neutral but I would say backing them to get out of the group at Evens is not sensible

My impression from afar is that Celtic are not quite as good as the last 3 years, Man U and Benfica are strong always. Put that together and I want 5/2 plus to be on them

As we all know, bookies make money from football punters who back with their heart not their head (ie the idiots who are on England to win the WC etc) and this would be another such example. Nemesis' pension fund can be boosted from other directions. Save yer money!

Definetly a favourable draw though, similar in a way to the group we had last year although FC Copenhagen are a lot better then Artmedia. Home games against Benfica and FC Copenhagen will be key imo (heres hoping you lose them  :D )

Generally as a rule of thumb I never back Celtic, and for obvious reasons I never back Rangers as I couldn't stand to see them win a one ticket raffle.

However this is a really good group for Celtic I don't like the match schedue though.

I would have preferred to have Copenhagen in the middle home/away rather than Benfica.

I would hope Celtic can take 6 points from the Danes although they are no mugs.  I would hope to be able to take 3 points from Benfica at home and 1 from Man U at hope with any luck Man U will have the group sewn up by the time they come to Glasgow on match day 5.

With my serious head on rather than deciding with my heart, I think the price is decent and you could easily lay Celtic after the first game because we are likely to get pommelled by Manure at Old Trafford.

I very rarely bet on footie, it's not one of my areas of expertise although I love the game.

PS One man who does have an opinion is the geezer who put up the grand to lay @2.6.

Neither will Copenhagen.  But WGS made a great point when you look at some of the other groups we have been kinda lucky.

Personally I think Celtic are capable of getting 10 points in this group securing qualification I would expect us to beat Copenhagen home and away, although they will be tough games and I also expect that we can beat Benfica at home and get a draw agaisnt Manure at CP.

Well in my opinion (and I am going with my head and not my heart here), I seriously think that Celtic could qualify from this group. We are capable of beating Benfica and Copenhagen at Celtic Park. We cannot expect to get anything from Old Trafford but the Man Utd game at Celtic Park with the crowd behind us we may manage a point. Also get maybe a point or victory against Copenhagen and I would reckon we would just be about there....

I wouldnt want to go to Copenhagen though HAVING to win to qualify....
