Title: Could anyone lay this down? Post by: M3boy on August 26, 2006, 12:44:39 AM Late stages of a live tourney - 19 left
Av chips 8000 You have 11500 and are only outchipped (only by 200) by the guy to your right. Blinds 100 200 about to goto 200 400 You have good reads on the rest of the table, but the guy to your right is a loose cannon - no disrespect to him , just mean he can play any two cards. You are the button, one limper The guy to your right raises to 900 You look down and find KK and re raise another 3000 - opinions here as well please Limper folds and the guy to your right goes all in. Could anyone really pass here?? Title: Re: Could anyone lay this down? Post by: SupaMonkey on August 26, 2006, 01:01:33 AM Pass?!? I would be jumping up and down in my seat :D
Title: Re: Could anyone lay this down? Post by: M3boy on August 26, 2006, 01:04:18 AM As I was. Just interested to see if anyone said "pass"
What do you think of the re raise? Title: Re: Could anyone lay this down? Post by: SupaMonkey on August 26, 2006, 01:08:28 AM Personally i may have made it just 3000 so that he's gettin 2-1 on the pot but then as an above average stack, i would imagine you were also happy to just take the pot right there.
Title: Re: Could anyone lay this down? Post by: ifm on August 26, 2006, 01:37:15 AM Not sure i'd price him in, i think i'd either go allin or call.
Title: Re: Could anyone lay this down? Post by: M3boy on August 26, 2006, 01:37:47 AM I made that size bet hoping for the re raise all in - which he is VERY capable of doing with ANY two cards

Title: Re: Could anyone lay this down? Post by: M3boy on August 26, 2006, 10:13:08 AM No Bad Beat Story here. Just wanted people's thoughts.
(Anyway, running KK into AA aint a bad beat ;)) Title: Re: Could anyone lay this down? Post by: Claw75 on August 26, 2006, 11:10:02 AM call every time for me.
Title: Re: Could anyone lay this down? Post by: Redbull on August 26, 2006, 12:14:42 PM I'm calling till the cows come home. I would need to be playing the Rock of Gibralta to ever contemplate a fold here - and even then I don't think I'm good enough to fold.

Post by: Canuck on August 26, 2006, 02:25:20 PM The raise was great as you left enough behind for him to think you were not committed and may only be using your position.
I will call all day and twice on Sunday Title: Re: Could anyone lay this down? Post by: Canuck on August 26, 2006, 02:26:19 PM I forgot to say

Title: Re: Could anyone lay this down? Post by: Sheriff Fatman on August 27, 2006, 05:36:09 PM No Bad Beat Story here. Just wanted people's thoughts. (Anyway, running KK into AA aint a bad beat ;)) I don't fold there but as I call I resign myself to seeing Ace-rag and the Ace hitting, probably on the river! Losing to AA feels like a great result compared to expectations! If your aim is to win the event, which I know yours is in these things, then you have to take these chances. Most of the time you get a big double up, which makes the odd cooler now and then worthwhile. Sheriff Title: Re: Could anyone lay this down? Post by: M3boy on August 27, 2006, 07:31:29 PM Couldnt agree more.
I would not fold here against this player either. I just wanted to see what reasoning James would come up with to fold (ie the opposite to what I did) lol Title: Re: Could anyone lay this down? Post by: Nem on August 27, 2006, 09:01:32 PM If you added a poll M3boy, I'm sure Flushie would vote 'yes' to a fold. ;goodvevil;

was this at Luton? who was the lairy cut off? Re-raise was a nice size too, made it seem like you were a bit wary...a QQ/JJ sort of re-raise.... Title: Re: Could anyone lay this down? Post by: M3boy on August 27, 2006, 11:26:16 PM None other than Monkey Harriss
Title: Re: Could anyone lay this down? Post by: TightEnd on August 27, 2006, 11:27:51 PM oh boy, say no more
