blonde poker forum

Please don't move this thread to the live poker section as its not about any live tourneys.

If you haven't read the Live poker section thread called 'cash games' you will not have saw that there was a very heated discussion between alot ot the CinCinatti regulars, which resulted in three regulars getting banned, the three regulars are:

1/ Newmanseye - AKA Billy
2/ John Larsson - AKA John lol
3/ Glasgow Bandit - AKA Gary

Thankfully the discussion has now calmed after the venting of words and emotions.

What i now put to all you posters involved is, can we now put this situation behind us and 'kiss and make up' after all its a great wee club and we are all good friends that have a great laugh in the club, lets get back to where we were before ie:

Tina - the CinCin's Queen, always a lovely face to greet you as you entered

Damon - the typical Entrepreneur, asways has a story to tell and a joke to crack, likes to greet the customers with a friendly bit of banter

Billy - brings so much hilarity to the club with his constant Bad beat (according to him of course, not once did he go in behind - honest ;))

John larsson - that boy just loves a good gamble and a good game of cards, favourite position = The Bubble!!

Glasgow Bandit - Man can this guy lose money in the bookies, we need his bad bookie beats back in this club, plus he's dead money in every pot he plays ;D

and of course...Sid - some have good points and some have bad points about this Saddam Look-a-like  ;D, no matter what tho, he is the glue that holds the club together at the moment, if he wasnt there with his Families money and future invested in the club, most of us would never have met and i would never be typing this thread out, i know id still be playing in our monthy home games in Uddingston or getting frustrated at the complete piss poor bingo fest that they try to call a tourney in the River boat

So i put it to all of yous, can we put this situation far behind us and lets all be friends again, after all its only a game of cards.

FREE the CinCinatti 3 and lets increase the pot!

DC is no longer part of CinCins and it is closing?    I was planning my first trip to CinCins for June 10th 2007.  I have always liked the appearance of that date, I thought it may bring me luck.  Is there not another club called the WABASH ?

I appreciate that you are looking at this from a resolve point of view Tank but i feel that freedom of speach is important and I stand by my opinions, I would hesitate to appologise for saying something that I have already said in person to the man in question. If Sid had a serious problem with my opinions then he should have gave me his rebuttle in person at the inital time of my expression. ( my opinions were not expressed on the forum for the first time)

This may sound like "pride goeth before a fall" but its not, I happen to feel justified in my views and I have a right to express them, if this carries a ban then so be it, I will take it on the chin and move forward.

I completely respect Billy's stand point. As long as his views were known to Sid prior to putting them a public forum (which Billy says is the case and I trust him) then I dont see that he has done much wrong and that he has anything to apologise for. He has complained as a customer of a service as he has the right to do and Sid has barred him from the club - that is his perogative as owner and he is well within his right to do that. Billy has accepted that and has moved on.

Billy, through this forum, has done a lot to raise the awareness of Cin Cins and gather customers for Sid/Cins. In return, Sid has offered a poker venue in Glasgow, which in my opinion, is second to none. It is by far and away the best place to play poker in Glasgow (unless my flatmate is walking around in her nightie - then my place is the best place to play) and with Tina and Damon helping, there is no friendler place.

I hope, like everyone else, this gets resolved because I think neither of them are benefitting from the current situation.

I think the best way to resolve the problem on an under performing enterprise is to ignore the constructive suggestions of some of the regulars and then ban them for having the cheek to have an opinion.

After apologiesing publicly on the board I have been granted memebership to the club again. However i must deal the final table for the next 3 months.

Very good post Dave and appreciated.

The bottom line,everyone is entitled to their opinion.
Everybody  who approaches the management to give advice on how to run a poker club,do so with good intentions(most)
The club has around 1500 members,and one owner...thats alot of different opinions being fed to one person.

Like Dave said,we all want the club to work out,it should be the best place to play poker north of the border at least.

As for the guys being banned from the club.

1.John having his ban lifted was correct,as he is a very likeable guy,who expressed his opinion.

2.Billy is still banned,not because of opinions,but by the way he expressed his opinions...Slating the owner publicly.Sure he might have already shared his views with Sid before he posted on the forum,But I think the fact he called Sid a
 MONEY GRABBING MUG publicly is the main reason for him being banned.Especially as it could not be further from the truth.Sid has given alot of time to the club for over a year and not recieved a penny for his troubles,and also the fact he has paid wages from his own pocket when the club wasn't able to.
He deserves more credit.

There is a good crowd at Cincins and if everyone really wants the place to work it will.

CinCins get more coverage on blonde than any other poker club/casino, I would like to think that the management there would be appreciative of the fact that they have somewhere to publicise their premises, and keep their housekeeping where it belongs ...IN HOUSE.

I agree, having the "right to reply" is a must here. Billy & Co got their say on the matter and I think it only fair and right that the "injured" party get their chance to make an official response.

And as to the comments about the coverage that the cincinnati club get on blonde Kev, tongue in cheek or not, I take a certain amount of resentment at that. The club gets "coverage" on blonde because a great number of blondes members WANT to talk about the cincinnati club.

When I first joined this forum in Feb 2005 it was full of threads about Grovesnor Walsall this or Grovsenor Luton that. A lot of the members on this forum originally joined thru either myself, Rod, Dave, or a few of the other "original" scottish contingent, via word of mouth at either the Riverboat or at cincins when it opened. And its up to the members to bring discussions to the board and if they want to discuss the cincinnati club then so be it. Are you really trying to tell me that you as a group of moderators are going to start censoring what people can and cannot say (over and above the offensive and the bigotted)?

Damon is speaking in an official capacity as one of the Cincinnati management team. I think the information he posted here is new and anyway it serves a purpose, and I think that purpose speaks for itself.

There are many debates on blonde that get "re-opened" or issues get covered again and again so this is no different yet its been picked upon because it is a Cincins thread. There have been a few members publicly moaning about the number of Cincins threads in various topics now and its getting really tiresome. I see this as just another excuse to take a sideswipe at the cincins threads.

For the record i dont actually know when Blonde started, but i do seem to remember at Blonde bash 1, When Tikay was giving to ole shuffle up and deal speak, he commented that on that night in january we werent just celebrating our first Blonde bash, but were also celebrating Blonde 1 year birthday.....this night was in fact in January?
