Just to let everyone know Zimbra is busy Weds night but in the interest of fairness to us all he has decided to rush his other comp and join us a level or two in, so there is no need to reorganise.

My hat is off to Mr Zimbra!

We will need to register but only the 9 on the list above will be able to.

Yes, apologies to all, I PM'ed Baron and given that I was the one who suggested Wednesday in the first place and it's my fault I didn't realise when the other game is, AND the fact that everyone else is happy with the date and time I sort of figured it's right that it should be on my eejit head  >:?

I won the Blue Square August Classic League, and so will be playing in the £1000 9-seat Bolton Playoff on Wednesday Night, the prize is so huge, but as it's winner-take-all there's always a chance I will get knocked out early and cross the street from Blue to Blonde before I get Broomcornsuncled away...

If I don't make it, then I hope all you lovely people have a great time, and enjoy my blinds ;D

Title: Re: League II Grand Final
Post by: I, Zimbra on August 28, 2006, 04:53:49 PM
Actually, I've just seen that The League II Final is on at 9pm (BST)... if I'm not mistaken, the BSQ league playoff is at 8pm (BST), so there might be no conflict after all...

in which case.....  ;karabiner; see y'all there :D

Title: Re: League II Grand Final
Post by: Claw75 on August 28, 2006, 04:56:01 PM
That must be a mistake - it was supposed to be 8pm BST right?

Title: Re: League II Grand Final
Post by: I, Zimbra on August 28, 2006, 05:41:05 PM
It says 9pm BST on the MTT schedule; or 8pm GMT.

Zimbra, that Bolton seat is mine!  8)

I think you should concentrate on the more prestigous Blonde title!

Sorry guys the league final is meant to be at 8PM BST to allow for the huge 30 minute level ups.

Sorry Zim.

yeah, too good to be true for me. :(

I will be late then, there's no avoiding it. The blind structure is slow, of course, but then so is the structure of the other game... We'll just have to see how it goes.

Blinding away in one is not inevitable, but it is more likely.

You could always give your seat to whoever bubbled in the league, can't remember who it was of course.

by the way, apologies in advance from me if I am a little late turning up too.  Gary is away tomorrow night so I need to do the bedtime routine with my little one.  She usually goes to bed at 8, but I'll see if I can con her into going 15 minutes earlier ;)

There's no need to hurry in order to steal my blinds ;)

That's more like it...

Lost with AJs to Kimpton's KQo, and got crippled.

Was CL 1/6 at break... and out 6th.

Was fun thanks for the dtd boys very generous, a great league and a good final.

Well played all and good luck to those that remain.

I don't know what to say.

I think the rail felt my style was erm ... conservative .... but the weak check fold has a lot going for it.

The key then is to get your chips in behind and rely on the river to rescue you.

Baron had me all in 3 times and drawing very slim but the river was the saviour each time.

OK aaron - can you turn off the 'super outdraw mode' on BPL now please?  It's doing my head in!

the Claw's luck ran out I'm afraid.  I expected nothing more than 9th going in to be honest.  I was well outclassed by the rest of the field and absolutely shiteing myself, which probably didn't help!
