Out of interest if you are short stacked, say if you have enough for 2 x big blind and the Blinds are within a couple of hands away from you. What hand would be good enough for you to put all your chips in rather than wait for the blinds to reach you?
In this case I had
 Qc Th
I took the view that these were two high cards and I could end up with far worse. I went all in and was straight out of the tournie. Although I am doubting myself in hindsight, I still think that i made the right move.
What do you think?

I generally put it in with highish connectors instead of A rag (as more likely to be dominated), and Q 10 or J 9 is the ideal hand for me

The first unopened pot when i have Q-7 or better.

With only 2 BB's left you have no time to be choosy, for me it's the next unopened pot with any 2.

Oh, and as you are pretty much going to be called no matter what I want live cards, so would rather anything paint downwards.

Any pot where I can be first in.  Cards don't really matter but I'd probably fold 72 off suit.

If you are short stacked with only 2xbb because you have just lost a big pot then yes, i'd just pick one hand before the blind got to me and shove it all in.

This would be the only time i would be that low however as i wouldn't let myself get into a position to be blinded and anted away to just 2xbb - i would have made a move while i still have enough chips to force people to pass.

If i got total junk all the way i wouldn't mind playing in the BB with whatever i have. Surprising how many times you end up heads up after a few greedy limpers and a re raise from someone.

Agreed - The only way I would only have 2xBB is after loosing a big pot.

Late in a tourney 5/6 BB's is my minimum and i will push with any 2 cards

My big pot was up against the chip leader and eventual winner.
I made a raise with
 7s 7d
And chip leader called plus another caller. I don't know if that was down to the fact that he could afford to call as he was leader or whether the cards were any good.
Flop was
 Ahrt 8h Aspades
Both players checked and I made another raise. Obviously hoping that neither had hit the flop, but realising they might have. But decided to have a punt.
Chip leader reraised me all in and BB folded. Now I am thinking classic check raise and threw the cards in. He did tell me later that he had two overcards suited hearts, so I was about 40-60 underdog. Probably a good fold, but my play up to this point may be debatable.

No but this is the "big pot" that was the start of me taking a downward turn.

Don't bet so much that you are commited!

But yeah i just ship it in when its an un-opened pot.
