Title: Tribeca spammers Post by: ifm on August 31, 2006, 02:35:42 AM Anybody else getting sick and tired of these morons constantly spamming the chatbox on tribeca??
Should do what stars do and only let people chat when they have the comp buyin in their account. The good part of it is that it reminds me to close the chat lol Title: Re: Blondepoker spammers Post by: I, Zimbra on August 31, 2006, 04:09:32 AM I never play with the chatbox open anyway, in 'open water' tournaments like STTs.
Title: Re: Blondepoker spammers Post by: Colchester Kev on August 31, 2006, 10:41:04 AM To be fair, the title of the thread is a bit misleading .... Its not a blondepoker issue, its a tribeca one.
The URL spammers arent that frequent to be honest, and if everyone pinged a manager and gave the user name of the person typing in the URL, they would soon be banned. As for the observer chat... I will NEVER agree to it being restricted to people who have a buy in for chatting in any particular comp, Railing your mates and fellow blondes that are in higher buy in comps than you can afford is part of what makes blonde unique and builds the community spirit on here. Look at Crypto, you cant even AYYYYAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRR anyone on there even if you played the comp and you are out !! Or stars where you cant rail people like Pab, camel, JP etc in the sunday biggie unless you have a healthy roll on there.... For me if the price of being able to rail your pals and give them a bit of support in the chat box is having to read a few spam messages every now and then, I will happily pay it. Title: Re: Blondepoker spammers Post by: matt674 on August 31, 2006, 10:51:37 AM Took me a few minutes to figure out where i was!! It was like that feeling you get when you wake up first thing of a morning and think "hang on - this isnt my treehouse walllpaper"......
Oh right, so thats just me then :-X Title: Re: Blondepoker spammers Post by: ifm on August 31, 2006, 12:29:06 PM To be fair, the title of the thread is a bit misleading .... Every now and then!!! It's every few minutes at times, i don't think i should have to put up with it at all. Tribeca should actively do something to stop it and stop it now, you don't get this problem to this extent elsewhere........... If the spammers are made to deposit you can a) freeze the account and take the cash and b) get a handle on who and where they are. p.s. i deliberately put this into General Discussion!!!!!!!! Title: Re: Tribeca spammers Post by: Nem on August 31, 2006, 12:43:14 PM They should do what Pokerstars have done and not allow for anyone to be able to copy and paste in the chat box.
Title: Re: Tribeca spammers Post by: Bongo on August 31, 2006, 01:02:48 PM I'm sure it won't be long before people create bots to open tables and type the spam then.
