I think its important that whatever dog you back can finnish because it has quite along back straight. I've only been to the dogs 4 or 5 times, T3 and T4 always seemed to get a hammering as the outside dogs came across and ran into them. If its raining you'll soon see an advantage for the wide runners, the track sloaps towards the inside and the ground becomes sticky as the rain naturally converges on the inside, so dont wait for a pattern to emerge get on the wide leaders early! The graded 6 bend races are absolute pony, i cant remember seeing one where at least 4-5 of the dogs have taken up the lead at one point in the race, very strange but all form goes out of the window, interest bets only in those! good luck Title: Re: Walthamstow this saturday Post by: Graham C on September 01, 2006, 02:14:21 PM I was watching Brainiac the other day and they did a test where they got someone that did a few things but one of the schemes was to back the favourite every race. The only scheme that paid off was the favourite backing one.
That's my 2c worth. Title: Re: Walthamstow this saturday Post by: GlasgowBandit on September 03, 2006, 06:40:42 AM 14 races 4 trap 3 winners including one at 14/1.
I don't have a reason for backing T3 other than, I like middle seeded dogs especially if they have a bit of early pace but can also finnish. I think the stow is an ideal track for this because the run to the first bend is wuite short especially over 475 metres and it also has a long galloping back straight. |
