One of four limpers, who then called a preflop raise and saw a flop of 8s Jd Qs, El Blondie in latest position moved in for around 15,000 when it checked to him.
The pot was a tasty 16k, but it looked like he was getting called when Mark Raymer gave it the dwell... not entirely sure what that was all about as he eventually discouraged further callers by moving all in with his set of Jacks.
Dave showed:  Ts Jc against Mark's Jh Js.
Turn: 2c
River: 9d  !  Gutshot-tastic.  A much healthier 30k+ now in DC's stack.

Glenn Ashworth raised to 3,500, and neighbour Dave moved in for 6,100 more.  A rather unhappy looking call after a while, with 8d 8h - David showed Ad Ac!

First card on the flop: 8s, followed by some Kings and no draw apart from the elusive Ace, so he's out.  "I fluffed a few chips before that," he remarked with characteristic calm, "So I didn't have enough to push him off, and didn't want to."  Fair enough - the poker gods have ruled against him.

Big pot occurring simultaneously on the other table - Bernard Litman raised to 4,500 under the gun, called by Gerald David.  Glenn Ashworth takes a good while before passing, and the flop comes:  9d Aspades Th.  Small bet from Litman; call.
Turn: Js  Litman bets out 6,000 this time, and gets another call.
River:  Jh.  Thoughtful check from both players, this time:  Bernard Litman shows Ad Qc, Gerald the winning Qd Jd.

Now Glenn pipes up saying he folded AK preflop!  No wonder he took his time...

That Tony fellow off the tele, you know the pensioner (nope, not Blackburn), has just doubled up courtesy of Mark Rayner.

Rayner bet 3k with his K-J on a Q-Q-x flop. Kendall made it another 5.2k with Q-6 (big blind hand) and Rayner called.

Tikay in Shock Runner Runner Flush to Double Up News Now -

He made his all-in move on a flop of Qc 5d 7s, check-raising Mick Fletcher with his powerful Qs 9s.  The other's hand was a bit stronger than he'd have liked, and after the middle players got out of the way, he got to see the 5s 5h against him.  Standing up now, they both could only watch as the 6s and then the Ks popped out to save the fishy sophisticated Godfather of poker, catapulting him over 40k!

The best dressed man this weekend might very be this fellow, Brian 'cresta' Medley.

Last hand before it, Glenn Ashworth took a 20k pot betting all the way against Gerald David.  The board came Kc 6s Kh 4s Th and the final 8k bet on the river secured Glenn the pot.

Tikay has just seemed to come to terms with the fact that he now has a playable stack - over 50,000 in fact.  He clearly doesn't like to profit from luck purely, but now that fortune has smiled on him, he'd better just get on with it!

Hewston then shows A-J off, claiming he's had the hand three times in a row.

He then preceeds to place the cards in his top pocket before saying, "Oh, sorry" and finally handing them in.

Glenn Ashworth isn't shy about getting his shortish stack involved - firstly he doubled up Andrew Douglas' Aspades Kc pushing all-in from the small blind with 8d 8h after Andrew had raised to 5k under the gun.  The Ace came, and now Glenn had to make a move - he chose moving in over the top of John Hewston's 7,000 raise with his Th Td.  Hewston had Qh Qd, but the Ten popped right out to cut Texas' stack right back down...
Tablemate John Hockle told John "You are the unluckiest man I've ever seen..." and I'm sure he's agreeing at the moment...

On a flop of 6s 7c Aspades, Sir Kendall of tikayness reraises Michael Fletcher.

It's about another 40k for Fletcher to call, leaving him with around 20k left.

A quiet exit from Gerald, while Mick got a bit shouty "Come ON! No ACE!" etc. before admitting that this was because "Big hands excite me."

I was just on the phone to grandad during the 5 min break to let him know that we were up to 81 runners for tonights blonde Bash 3 Freeroll (9pm in case you were wondering;) ) ... all of a sudden grandad went all animated and escited, it turns out that Maureen (the Nun) approached him and gave him a hug.

Grandad gave Maureen the phone and said "someone on here who wants to talk to you" Maureen says hello and I reply .. "hello, is that the gorgeous Nun"  she says ... "is that Robert" !!!  when i say "no you daft bint its Kev" she says "the voice was so posh i was sure it was Robert" LOL LOL LOL

While Snoopy brings you the latest, I just found this picture from earlier of a slightly shamefaced Tikay wincing at the way he made his comeback - but he's settled down now, and isn't freezing up as may have been feared...

The short stacks have been surviving, as in the case of microstacked Paul Hatton with his Ad 7d defeating the valiant Js 3h, and much more than that, trebling up - like Paul King.

Brian Medley raised to 8k preflop, got a call from Mick Fletcher, and Paul with just 11k on the small blind made the push.  Two callers, unsurprisingly. At this point Tikay says, "You could treble up!" and Paul replies, "I will."
Flop: Tc Ks Ts   Brian checks, and Mick bets him off it with 13,000 and 5h 5c.  This must have delighted Paul with his 8c 8h - a treble up indeed.
"See Tikay - I'm winning this now."

Yes I exited 22nd, stayed alive for a while nicking with complete garbage then look down to find 88 - best hand so far and had to make a move with just 8 BB's left. No match for Iqbal's pocket 10's and no 3rd snowman to save me.

Please pass on a huge  ;goodluck; to Tikay. Generous as ever he swapped 5% before we started the final day even though I was shortstacked - sorry to let you down! Heart of gold and really made me feel at ease when I arrived yesterday. Goooo Tikay!

Mick Fletcher has increased his chip lead by eliminating both Mark Raymer and Bernard Litman.

The fact that he had Pocket Rockets helped somewhat.

Raymer, who only had 500 and A-6, and Litman (8-8) failed to improve on a T-J-9-K-5 flop, although for a moment it looked as though someone had made a straight somewhere.

Tikay tells me they've not only decided to move the finalists up on a kind of raised back area with spectator seats (great for us - it's right by our office) but for some reason they've just opted to change to a 10-handed final.  This is just wrong, wrong wrong:

1) It's not fair at this hand for hand stage, as one table is 6-handed and one 5-handed which disadvantages the short stacks on the 'faster' moving table

2) The chip leader will get to play short handed, when his lead is more powerful, for less time

This is one of my pet annoyances about tournament direction, and I'd be stomping my little feet whether large or short stack if they changed from 9 to 10 at the eleventh hour...

He's decided to just move his chips all-in blind every hand.  Until he gets knocked out.  Bets are being taken on how many rounds he lasts - there's one bet of two rounds already taken...

He was a tad unlucky to run his 8d 8h into Reyaaz Mulla's Aspades 5d - which happened to hit the Ace, prompting an "Aaaah" from the final - while Mulla could be heard muttering "I am playing to win the thing, not just hang on..." or some such.

Down to eight, and a most uneven chip spread there is...

Richard Herbert is doing just fine here!  He just knocked out Brian Medley in 8th place, for £2,800 - he raised in the small blind, and probably wasn't thrilled to be re-raised by Brian.  However, he called the shorter stack with his Q 10, Brian held 55, but the Ten paired and we're down another player...

He moved in his last 16k from the big blind with 4s 4d, and got two callers (at least one too many....).  They checked it down, and him out - one of them spiked a King and he came over to do his exit interview with Rhowena...

THE FALL AND FALL OF WOMBLE

As some of you may have been aware, Womble took up the challenge of moving all-in preflop, regardless of the action before him, on every single hand of the £100 No Limit Hold 'Em Double Chance Freezout.

This is what happened...

Hand 1:

Womble, as announced before the tournament commenced, swiftly slid his chips over the line.

Everyone folded.

Hand 2:

Again, Womble moved in and, again, he won the blinds uncontested.

It was at this point we received the first "Sigh, this isn't poker!"

Hand 3:

Womble moves all-in, and, incredibly, the whole table shakes their collective heads and pass.

Then, to no surprise of the rail, we encounter our first "FFS!" as Womble's next door neighbour shrugs his shoulders in frustration.

Hand 4:

Action, at last!

Under-the-gun moves all-in and so does the cut-off!

Womble amusingly asks, "How much is it to be me?" before finally shoving in his chips with...

7-2 off suit!!!

Mateyboy #1 has 6-6 and Mateyboy #2 has A-K

First card was a 2!!!

but it wasn't to be as the board came 2-3-3-9-5

down to the felt, but not time for that "Buy-in" yell just yet.

One up the bum, no harm done as Womble is actually outdrawn.

Hand 6

After taking his second chance for another 3k, Womble finds a call from his next door neighbour, who had limped with A-Q. Womble shows J-7, and although he found a gutshot straight draw on the Turn, it wasn't to be and Mateyboy's flopped top pair held up.

Hand 7

Down to the felt and staring Death in the face, Womble's swan song comes with 9-7 vs A-K. Emphatic King on the flop and a blank on the Turn seals the deal.

Not one hand won, but jolly good fun!

Huckle does the blinds all-in re-raise again, this time on button raiser Mulla - it's passed and he shows Ad Kh...

Iqbal Patel raises preflop to 19k, call from Mick in the big blind.  Flop:  Kd Jd 7d.  Check-check, and Mick takes it on the Kh turn, although he's told "I'm ahead!" and shown 3d 3h for good measure...

This Iqbal fellow does seem to like the all-in move - when it folded to him on the button he put his whole 140k in, which effectively took the blinds.  He also re-raised Tikay off pocket Sevens with AQ and the same move.

Is that faster or slower than regular tikay time?

Second in chips or not, Iqbal isn't half fond of moving in...he just did it again over the top of Mick's raise on the button.  A countdown was requested; it proved pricey.  Pass.  Whoever tangles with Mr. Patel will find themselves on one side of a big pot - he can double any player up, or take them out - except Mick (obviously)...

When on Iqbal's table earlier, he called an early position raise and then an all-in re-raise from behind him (for a chunk of his chips) with 4s 5s. The all in raiser had 33 and was knocked out by a river 5! Ouch.

Tikay is about 47.5% to win.

Just a quick mention for blondeite Andrew Massey who took home a reported £9,430 (although I believe the figure was close to £6,500 due to various deals) for his 1st place finish in the £100 rebuy earlier in the week.

My apologies, I met this fellow in Vegas (as I've just realised), but I can't seem to recall his blonde alias.
