Title: Oh Dear I've gone and done it... Post by: doubleup on September 05, 2006, 03:39:05 PM Got the letter this morning confirmng that I'm being made voluntarily redundant. So in a couple of months I'll be trying to make a living entirely from poker.
In my head I know it's the right decision I've made - I could have comfortably lived off poker for the last 3 years and have a 6 figure bankroll, but I'm still feeling uneasy about it and a bit sad to be leaving work colleagues and friends behind. I think I miss work colleagues and the cut and thrust "office banter" more than I miss the steady income. I'd say it's ok to be a sad, but make sure you perk up before you hit the tables proper. Have a little break before you jump headlong into full-time playing. It'll help you to realise why you've left. Title: Re: Oh Dear I've gone and done it...
