Everytime I have a good run and build a bankroll I always have a night where I come on bladdered and cause severe damage to my bank balance which I then have to play a couple of weeks to get it back again.  It means I am always playing on the edge I just wish I could build a nice cushion but I seem incapable of keeping myself off the computer when drunk.

Personally, I think your revised title is better, although I know it's likely that that would offend some people as well!

It's used in every online pokeroom all day long. It's a word that to me doesn't mean what it means to non-poker players. To me its when someone does something very stupid in a game rather than someone with learning difficulties.

Understood Flushy, entirely understood, but it IS offensive to many, & with good reason.

But it's been changed now, so that's sorted.

On reflection i think the flushy title is offensive to bad poker playing drunken idiots :D

I didn't create the thread to offend anybody I just wanted to let off steam as I am sitting here feeling rather sick, and pretty angry with myself too.  I couldn't have done it at a worse time too as I am off to london tomorrow to play the betfair forum game and will spending quite a few £££££

Yes I have had a few nights where I've come in drunk and lost a lot of $$, its a serious lack of discipline but I can't help myself most of the time.  I have also won vast sums drunk as well though in fact I'd say I'm probably in front on drunken poker, but not in recent times.

Maybe drunken poker could be a new sport.

I never play cash games cus I'm not very good at them, and I always end up playing when drunk cus you can join in whenever u want as opposed to waiting half an hour for the tourney of your choice. I reckon this year I've done about $15k when pissed, its a good job I've made a hell of a lot from tourneys when sober!!!

Wouldn't like to add it up. So many hours of decent play undone in a few minutes of high octane bluffing at high levels.

whilst i would say i play my best poker when semi pished (say 6 cans of stella) i make the mistake of carrying on drinking and playing.  I normally play $5 or $10 sit and goes. 

the other night i felt compelled to play $100 heads up.  £300 loss later and feeling like 'i know i will regret this in the morning' i deposit £250 and sit at $3 $6 with $450.  previosuly i only ever played 25 c/50 c.  i managed to claw back $200 but in hindsight realise that i was 'AN IDIOT'

I never drink when I play...never ever ever....then again...i still suck.

Gambling and alcohol doesn't mix...atleast not when you want to be successfull...therefore i also don't drink when I play small live tourneys.
