Title: Switching providers anything exceptionally good? Post by: boldie on September 10, 2006, 04:10:20 PM Hi guys,
I am going to be movnig at the start of next month and, as I am now with NTL who really really suck, I was wondering if anyone recommends a certain broadband provider. I am told BT is actually quite good but their customer service is rubbish. the main thing for me is that there is no down time and hardly any freezes of the provided equipment. anyone have any ideas on what i should go for? Post by: DazzaT on September 10, 2006, 07:15:47 PM AOL AOL are ok as I've used them in the past but you have to log on and off every time you use them, ok if used once a day and left on but I was cut off a few times and you need your PC/laptop on if you want to use a games console online (Xbox360, etc.) Title: Re: Switching providers anything exceptionally good? Post by: Nem on September 10, 2006, 07:42:38 PM AOL AOL are ok as I've used them in the past but you have to log on and off every time you use them, I have a wireless router and I haven't logged on to AOL for over a year now. Title: Re: Switching providers anything exceptionally good? Post by: CelticGeezeer on September 10, 2006, 07:57:47 PM I use virgin wireless router and no probs, customer service crap. Wouldn't use BT they are crap. I would never use NTL again for anything they have to be one of the worst company's I have ever had the misfortune to be outraged by on numerous occasions. I dont trust AOL.

Post by: Jon MW on September 11, 2006, 11:53:29 AM I use Tiscali they are good and definitely value for money, but at peak times my broadband does get knocked off now and again. I was thinking about changing it to BT - what's wrong with BT?
