However I have noticed something worrying recently during the $5 extended STT games when Kev is playing. He seems to have incredible luck and the cards always fall for him. Since his move to senior mod level, I can't help but feel that tikay has given him permission to use the secret password that deals AA, KK and AK when ever he wants them. I think Claw, ifm, RobertHM and all the other regulars have been let into the secret by Kev as well. That is the only thing I can think of as a reason why I always get beaten.

Title: Re: "Mods" on Blonde or are they "Punks"? Post by: tikay on September 11, 2006, 09:12:57 AM There you go, how to spoil the mood after a wonderful weekend..... I have known John (MPower) for many years, well before blonde, & he has always been a good mate. We have never crossed swords. I am horrified & very upset by his Post, assuming it came from him, & I'm totally perplexed by it. I simply don't understand his Post, not at all, & until the dust settles, I don't intend to comment further, except to say..... I have been brutally honest with the blondes about the "goings on" behind the scenes, the shareholders concerns, our finances, the Mods, the future of blonde, everything. I have never, at any time, suggested that the Mods have been, or wlil be, given shares in blonde. They have no shares, & have not been promised any, they have never been paid, & never will. People don't Mod for money, it's a calling. blonde revolves around the Forum, & the Forum is what it is because of the Mods. I have non-blonde business to attend to this morning, & will be offline, I only came briefly on as this thread had been reported to me overnight. I'd like to think, all things being what they appear to be, that MPower will have publically apologised to the Mods by the time I return. They don't deserve to be insulted like this, & I know that several of them are deeply offended. For my part, I apologise that the Post has been made. Title: Re: "Mods" on Blonde or are they "Punks"? Post by: tikay on September 11, 2006, 09:16:48 AM I think this post should be removed immeadiately. I do ont who wrote nor do I care. It is offensive in a way that is particularly distasteful. Please get rid of it. Many feel the same Phil, judging by the shed-load of PM's I've received. But it's already been viewed nearly 300 times, so it can't really be swept under the carpet by deletion at this point. The Mods have requested that it remain up until an apology is received - who am I to argue, given the situation? They feel they want the Members to judge for themselves. I must say, all this is very upsetting. Title: Re: "Mods" on Blonde or are they "Punks"? Post by: MrMoves on September 11, 2006, 09:20:15 AM This is startling, I wonder what brought it on?

Title: Re: "Mods" on Blonde or are they "Punks"? Post by: thediceman on September 11, 2006, 09:45:22 AM I'm normally the first to defend a persons right for "freedom of speech" and critical of any form of censorship but I just don't understand the intention of the initial post other than malice. I'm intrigued to know why the first post was made and what John (if he did make the initial post) hopes to achieve by it.
Having met a few of the mod's at BB3 for the first time I appreciate what a lot of work they do in the interests of blonde and understand they do it purely as a vocation and "some for ego" :D) (note it's a gag, honest). If John did make the initial post then he should either make: 1) make a public apology as his attack was made on a public forum ( I agree with Red's "Accuse in public, apologise in private? No thanks!), or 2) at least explain the reasons for the post because at the moment it just seems a personal attack without any basis which may or may not infact be the case. John is a bud, always will be, so are the Mods, but I can't allow them to be insulted like this & say nothing. Title: Re: "Mods" on Blonde or are they "Punks"? Post by: AndrewT on September 11, 2006, 10:36:50 AM As Tikay said, the mods don't do this for money - they do it because they love this place and without mods, it could descend into the chaos seen on a million other forums on the web.
I don't think Blonde is a goldmine right now, ready to spit out money like a malfunctioning fruit machine. Tikay assured us that the new Ferrari he turned up in at BB3 was borrowed from a friend and he kindly took time out from browsing through a yacht brochure to post on this thread and clarify things. Once he's finished this morning's meeting with Roman Abramovich and the Sultan of Brunei, I'm sure he'll be back on here attending to our needs. Title: Re: "Mods" on Blonde or are they "Punks"? Title: Re: "Mods" on Blonde or are they "Punks"? Anyways, the mods and Tikay know what the vast majority think of their dilligence on here <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 best wishes Title: Re: "Mods" on Blonde or are they "Punks"? Post by: marcro on September 11, 2006, 10:51:49 AM Hmmm, I am at a loss for words trying to understand the thinking behind this original post. However, if the scenario where blondepoker came into a nice windfall which allowed the shareholders to make a financial gain and they chose to reward the mods for all the work they have put into this site, I will be applauding and saying "well done and it is nice to see people making money the old fashioned way - from putting in the hours to deliver a high quality service"!!!!!

Just to clarify as I have been asked to do so, John made a jokey PM to me last night about his post, it was definitely him wot rote it guv! Ok, but the person who made the post could also try and back it up by firing off fake PM's? I was just making an observation, no idea if it was posted for real or not. I did not post to seem malicious I thouhgt it would get a reaction though more about Pies to be honest. On Sunday I had a Bar-B-Q so plenty of Booze. That's the excuse bit. The Mods do a stirling job on this site keeping it's standards and content way above any other type of forum on the internet. So I apologise to all the /:-| for questioning there Integrity and commitment and motives into making Blonde a success. Sorry Guys regards M noted Title: Re: "Mods" on Blonde or are they "Punks"?
