I am sorry you took your stand at the wrong time.

But making a stand with A 2 (ie top pair bottom kicker) may not have been the smart move?!?!

May I suggest that you need to work on your patience a little?

Please dont take this the wrong way - I have been on the recieving end of many bad runs, and in all honesty, when you really analyse them (and I mean REALLY analyse) you will probably see that you were at fault most of the time.

Greed is a big sin when running bad.

Ask yourself this, had you been running good - would you of moved all in with $170odd into a $40 pot with top pair bottom kicker ?? I would suspect the answer would be "no"

Take some time off, and come back refreshed.

Also you say "name and shame" but I really fail to see what he did wrong?

Given that he sucked out four times in a row, he was bullying the table every hand, thought I was some rock so not a threat, and that the one time I do take it to him and he has it, if this was a live game, give (to the nearest metre) the distance from the table he'd have run before I'd have got up out of my seat to smack him in the head?Huh?

he wouldn't be able to run away from the table, he would be weighed down with all your monies!

Here's the question...

if this was a live game, give (to the nearest metre) the distance from the table he'd have run before I'd have got up out of my seat to smack him in the head????

If this is how you would react to losing a big pot, maybe you should give up playing live too.

He didn't do anything wrong. He simply won some money from you in a card game. Its not like he insulted you, cheated or did something really deserving of a naming and shaming. It certainly wouldn't justify a violent reaction, if it had been a live game.

Keep poker friendly.

Classic, can you be more precise?

i don't really feel the need to reply to the actual post, so far i have read about 10 posts from Dazza and evreyone has been a bad beat type story. Can we get him to setup a direct debit for the 50p's

Could not resist....

1st. you have overplayed your top pair with weak kicker.... so no bad beat for you here.
If you want to challenge the maniacs the chioice of playing with A2 tells more about your own poker skill then theirs.

2nd  If you can't outplay those kind of players then perhaps you should take on other game that will cost you less and make you less angry.
3rd  The whole point of poker is to have players who make mistakes therefore a good player can have an edge.

As to your update urban myths are not very healthy and to be honest do not help your case.

4th to you bad beat story with AA HU

okenum  -h ah ad  - 6c 2s
Holdem Hi: 1712304 enumerated boards
cards      win   %win     lose  %lose   tie  %tie     EV
Ad Ah  1466278  85.63   239339  13.98  6687  0.39  0.858
2s 6c   239339  13.98  1466278  85.63  6687  0.39  0.142

It means that 1 in ten roughly 62o will beat AA so tough but can happen.

First of all, it's not even a bad beat, so you should hardly be cross with a guy who had a better hand than you.

Secondly, this is an inclusive forum so respect everyone here and their opinions and everything will be ok. :)

Thirdly, what's a PC-raver? I've just got this image of an undercover police officer off his head on Ecstasy listening to bad 90's house in some unmarked barn in Preston.

Has blonde stopped the practice of not sending PM's to people when posts are deleted? Not meaning to cause any trouble m8 just thought the discussion was actually reaching a happy ending!

Flushy, the thread has been butchered in an attempt to try and ressurect some sense into it ... it failed.

Please bear with me .... I will reinstate my message to dazza, and hope that this will help him in the future.

I apologise if in an effort by someone to remove some posts yours got lost in the process.

OK Dazza old son, heres the script ....

Please feel free to have a look around this forum, its a place that we are enormously proud of, and a place where anyone regardles of their ability at the GAME of poker can post without fear of ridicule and insults being thrown at them.

The use of the word retard is one that we are not comfortable with, you have been told of this by a moderator earlier on in the thread.

You are more than welcome to become a part of this forum, and I also remember playing with you at the comp in walsall ... you were a little quieter there.

we have our way of doing things here, there are plenty of other forums on the net where you can get together with like minded youngsters and abuse as many winning poker players as you like .... we dont, wont and never will allow that sort of thing on here.

Feel free to voice your opinions, but before posting, just take a few seconds to re read it and think if it could contain words or phrases that are offensive.

Cheers

Kev.

Ironside,

why are you only apologising to flushy when you deleted numerous members posts? this stinks of elitism due to flushy having a higher post count

Dazza,

Tantrum has a point, why do you push with A-2, he's only going to call if he thinks he has you beat.

Title: Re: Changed and forgotten
Post by: DazzaT on September 11, 2006, 10:10:01 PM
I didn't think he had anythingl, the four hands previously he did the same as he did to me [bet, got raised, he re-raised and got caught with absolutely nothing BUT then sucked out (to KK twice!)]  It wasn't about a bad beat story, it was about my luck at trying to catch maniacs out and getting the one hand where they actually have something valid to start with.

I'm not bothering with this thread again, people got me all wrong and I cant be bothered to keep explaining so this is my last post.

Feel free to use it as a lapdancing story base.

Good luck all.

Title: Re: Changed and forgotten
Post by: Royal Flush on September 11, 2006, 10:15:15 PM
if you think he has nothing why not just call?

Title: Re: Changed and forgotten
Post by: DazzaT on September 11, 2006, 10:21:14 PM
Because I wanted him to call me, like he called the other four all ins, he had nothing but obviously didn't value the cash he was betting (ignoring the fact he had to suckout to win).

My thoughts.... he's called four hands in a row, when against an all in, everytime he's had nothing and only commited a small amount to the pot so could have got out easily without having to call the all in.  I have top pair, odds are he's nothing again as his betting pattern is exactly the same as when he had nothing on the other four hands so.... re-raise all in and hope he calls BUT doesn't suckout like the last four.  He's either too rich to care about a few hundred dollars, drunk or on tilt from another table if he's called the last four, so why not call me??

Decision.... Go all in and see what happens.

I think that was Flushy's attempt at moderating.
