Post by: tikay on September 13, 2006, 07:56:13 PM I am pretty much shaking the whole blonde tree right now, in ways that you are aware of, & other areas, more of which soon, & this includes the Moderators. With snoops increasingly over-worked with Jen on providing Home Page Content - superbly, in my view - he really does not have much Modding Time available. Iron continues to look after the technical side, & does that job great, and assists with Modding whenever he can. Kev has his hands full with BPL, he'll continue to Mod, excellently imo, but he only has 1 pair of hands. The Baron's role is also BPL, & I need him to major on that. Sadly, my time on blonde needs to be spread fairly thin these days, the effects off the Management Changes mean I have a whole heap of stuff to deal with - temporarily, I hope - so I am not here to Mod as much as I'd like, or need to be, & I'm not really carrying my weight on the Mod front. With Heid moving on, that means far too much work is being left to Tighty, Robert & Red-Dog. Their efforts have, & will continue to, earn the admiration of almost all of you, & certainly myself. The process of selecting new Mods is not fast-track, I want things done "just so", & this place has become so precious to so many that it's key that we get the right Moderators on board. The atmo on blonde is truly unique, due to a combination of the right sort of Members, & exactly the right "touch & feel" from our existing Mods. The role does not carry any salary or Share Options, nothing at all. We have produced a short-list of potential Mods, two of whom will start work immediately, & more will be appointed soonest. The process for selecting the Mods is based upon their suitablity for their role, & not their popularity. The Final selection process consisted, after all the due diligence had been completed, of a free vote by all the Mods. I am delighted to announce the first two "second-generation" blonde Mods will be.... Rod Paradise. Sheriff Fatman. They will take up their duties almost immediately. I think it would be kinda fitting, & typically blonde, if you welcomed them on board, & wished them well. Please remember they did not select themselves, but they did make themselves available when we asked them - in other words, the decision to appoint them was ours, not theirs. So the buck stops with yours truly if you are not happy, but I'm sure most of you will agree these two guys deserve a good & positive send-off to their blonde Mod careers. I will be pretty much offline all evening - it's my PNL night - so I won't be able to handle any PM's on this matter tonight, but I'll be around all day tomorrow, from late morning I guess. (Am not due home until 0400 Thursday). As ever, this Forum belongs to the blonde Community, & we all get out of it what we put into it. So, it's with some nervousness on my part that I appoint new Mods, because I know many of you care with a passion about this place, and we can't all agree on everything.
