blonde poker forum

just been sat at a SNG on blonde and been subjected to a bit of the usual sexist banter in the chat box 'women can't play' 'lucky cow' etc.  I know a few of the guys on here play under 'female' alises and was just wondering what your experiences were - presumably you play the same as you usually would, but do you find you get more/less abuse as a 'woman' and do you get the 'typical woman' comments on your play as well?

It doesn't bother me at all - I think they are just trying to look macho for being outplayed by a girl half the time!

I hardly ever get abuse. If I did I'd tell them where to go! ;)

i have to say I found it really funny on this occasion - they were both terrible players - chasing gutshots etc, it was only because they hit they stayed in the game!  the 'good' players on the table don't seem to feel the need to abuse.   Anyway I beat them all so  ;nana;

on WillHill I used to play under the name Wendy003 and I got a lot of chat, was quite amusing,to be honest sometimes I'd play the act of a dumb blonde, bit of flirting in the chat, pretty sick stuff but it seemed to work pretty well. Didn't really get too many insults, the table generally stuck up for me

There can be a real macho thing in poker, i play under my daughters name and i often find people tend to bluff at me more and call my raises more often, though i do like to raise.........

i found americans have a general fascination of big jugs and ask me repeatedly to go into graphic details of my glass cupboard???

I say I am, and then flirt with them a little. They become enraged (especially if their mates are watching) and start throwing insults (and chips) at me.

Except for blonde I don't have an avatar and always play as a bloke - got tired of the comments. Today got really great abuse from a player I did in with 4 7 ooops on PS, calling me mateyboy and mad FXXXX etc. resisted temptation to reply I was a woman.

Not strictly related, and it sounds really funny coming from a banned driver :D  ;goodvevil; but I thought this is the sort of reason why guys tend to "get the hump" with women at the table, especially online - guys are a lot more pleasant to the women players in a live game.
