Title: Poker in Florida help
Post by: Dingdell on September 18, 2006, 03:11:45 PM
I know that Florida is the world of Disney but I would like to get a poker game in (or 10) while I'm away. I have trawled the net and there are casinos in Florida but I can't tell if they are anywhere near Disney. (I am the girl that, this weekend in madrid, rang the b/f as I was lost and asked for help while he was playing poker in Southend!)

So - anyone know if there is poker near Disney?

Thanks  8)

When i was living in Florida the only place we found to play was on the ships, so not that close to Orlando!

I beleive the Poker casinos are in Tampa, about an hour's drive down I-95

when you are there try Busch Gardens, theme park and wildlife park. You too could ride the Kummmbbbaaa, a great rollercoaster

I played at the Mikosukee reservation casino when I was there at easter, but the poker wasn't great. Limit cash games & NL sit & goes - 1000 chips blinds start at 50/100.

You'll have to take the laptop.

An hours drive down I-95 to Tampa?!?!

I-4 i think is what you mean and its west.

The I-95 runs up the east coast.

When I was in Orlando, sad Vegas freak that I am ... we caught an internal flight to vegas for a couple of days, we did this independantly of the package we were on, cause I couldn't stand the thought of being on the same continent as Vegas and not going there.

5 hour flight, but well worth it .. and if you are sensible (not me then) you can spend the same amount a day as you would doing the theme park marathons.

All the time I was in Orlando I wanted to be in Vegas, except when i was swimming with the dolphins at Discovery Cove.

I especially felt bad when we were about to go and see La Nouba, and outside they were playing the music from O - whOlly unfair, and very cruel.

You could always fly to the Bahamas for a couple of days and go to the Crystal Sands. Flights are really cheap from Miami.

Trouble is we are already flying to Barbados for the second week so I wanted to avoid anymore flying. Guess I'll just have to hit the tables at Luton as soon as I get back - internet poker just isn't as good for me.

Tampa is only an hour and a bit's drive up the I4 west.

You could easily go to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa

Events calendar, some of the rebuy comps look quite good.
They also have 50 cash tables, inc. Omaha and Stud.

Horneris are you sure they have cash stud and omaha last time I looked it was all sit and gos and I spoke to some guys from there in the summer 65 and 100 dollar s and gs 24 hrs a day plus the usual tournaments was all they said they had.   Things might change soon the injuns have taken over the hard rock operation casinos hotel the lot so larger than micky mouse cash games could be on the horizon. Time to cheer on the injuns seminoles and screw the cowboys Jeb bush. ;snoopy'sguns;
