Title: Re: Hotel discounts for Broadway Festival Post by: Ironside on August 31, 2005, 06:42:30 PM can you give us a run down of the events aswell
i am still unsure of my plans but i might come down if all else is quiet Title: Re: Hotel discounts for Broadway Festival Post by: dik9 on August 31, 2005, 06:49:45 PM 4 events starting 7th September
7th Weds 8pm £100 NLHE 1 rebuy or top up 8th Thurs 8pm £500 NLHE 1 rebuy or top up (2 day event) 9th Frid 8pm £300 NLHE 1 rebuy or top up (2 day event) 10th Sat 7pm Main Bracelet Event £1000 NLHE freezeout (2 day event) This Festival may compliment the £1000 star city event on the 7th if people wish to stay in the city for a few days. We are nothing to do with "star city" We are an independent casino, If some of you remember the "old" Rubicons e.g. Coventry, Northamton, Wolverhampton These were owned by Monte Shine. The Broadway and the Shaftesbury are owned by his son Martin Shine. If you old timers remember the "old" Rubicons then you will remember they were very poker orientated. We are situated about 700meters from the Rainbow Casino. £1000 chip structure will be 10,000pts on an hour clock £500 (+1 rebuy) will be 5000pts(10,000) on an hour clock £300 (+1 rebuy) will be 3000pts(6,000) on an hour clock £100(+1 rebuy) will be 2000pts(4000) on a 30/45 min clock (brackets are potential chips with optional rebuy OR top up) STC If the mini fest works well the next festival will go massive! Advertising wise we are mainly doing it word of mouth. As I believe in the poker community the fire spreads quick. Therefore we rely on good service and facilities. Let the poker players advertise it themselves and if we do not deliver then its our own fault. BTW we will never charge registration fees whilst I am in charge of the card room, I think its a disgrace to make the players pay, as the whole idea is to bring customers in!! And we supply dealers for ALL games. :o Title: Re: Hotel discounts for Broadway Festival Post by: Malc-M on August 31, 2005, 06:54:26 PM Many thanks for this..

Title: Re: Hotel discounts for Broadway Festival Post by: snoopy1239 on August 31, 2005, 11:56:16 PM Do you need to reserve your seat in these events?
If so, what options are available regarding payment? Title: Re: Hotel discounts for Broadway Festival Post by: snoopy1239 on August 31, 2005, 11:58:41 PM And great news on registration fees. Twisted my arm. :)
Title: Re: Hotel discounts for Broadway Festival Post by: dik9 on September 01, 2005, 04:43:31 AM As it is our first event and not much advertising has been done, we are limited to 110 players, If successful in this festival we have the capacity to expand to 200+ for next year.
You can register now for any event, we have been accepting individual cheques for each event but they need to have cleared by the 5th Sept, so its pushing it a bit now. You can register any time at cash desk in the Broadway. You do not have to do it in person, but someone who represents you with the money can register for you. Hope this helps. Much bigger than most the casinos in England. 2 Questions: What makes the car-park the 2nd most secure in England and who is 1st? Looking forward to playing on Wednesday. :) Title: Re: Hotel discounts for Broadway Festival Post by: ifm on September 05, 2005, 12:19:02 PM that car park thing got me thinking, the only real way they can judge it is by crimes reported per annum, seeing as it's only been there for a very short time it's a bit dodgy methinks.
I've never even seen any security in there, maybe they judge it by the amount of ctv cameras? Title: Re: Hotel discounts for Broadway Festival Post by: dik9 on September 05, 2005, 01:54:33 PM 72 state of the art cameras and full 24 hour security. I went in the control room when we first opened and was absolutely amazed. They have only had 1 attempted break in/ act of vandalism since it opened 2 years ago and they were caught in the act. When you drive out of the car park there is another small control room, just have a peep in it. God I sound like a train spotter!. The safest car park apparently is in Derby.
ACE2MOUTH not full yet but will be full before Weds me thinks. Title: Re: Hotel discounts for Broadway Festival Post by: Royal Flush on September 05, 2005, 02:01:37 PM best park in Derby and get a taxi then!
